Kenwyne Jones is among several Cardiff City players who are injury doubts heading into their match with Southampton tomorrow.
Jones, along with Ben Turner and Declan John have been labeled "major doubts" for tomorrow, while Craig Bellamy and Fabio are also dealing with knocks, but their availability is a bit more optimistic. K Jones has yet to score since his debut after the move from Stoke City in late January. The Bluebirds have a monumental task in attempting to achieve a positive result away to Southampton, now perhaps missing some key players. Fri, Apr 11, 2014 09:30:00 AM

It isn't often that a swap deal actually takes place but it has this January as Peter Odemwingie and Kenwyne Jones have swapped places.

In a swap of struggling forwards, Peter Odemwingie has moved from Cardiff City to Stoke and Kenwyne Jones has moved in the opposite direction. Both will have a chance to impress in their new location but it has been a number of years since either has been relevant for fantasy purposes so something remarkable would have to happen for either to be relevant after today's move.

Kenwyne Jones won't be considered for Stoke City against Crystal Palace. Jones ruled himself out of last week's match against Liverpool and this exclusion comes on top of a fine of two-week's wages.

Jones has been linked with a move to Everton, and that may have led to his self-imposed exile last week. This time, it's fully in Mark Hughes' control.

Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones came off before halftime of Trinidad & Tobago's friendly against Saudi Arabi with an apparent ankle injury.

Jones, who scored two goals in the match, will be a big doubt for Stoke's match against Manchester City. The striker had just earned his first start of the season in their 1-0 win over West Ham, and would have been hopeful of keeping his place.

Kenwyne Jones hit a hat-trick in Stoke City's 3-1 League Cup win against Walsall. Manager Mark Hughes was quoted as saying that the striker "has certainly given me a headache ahead of Saturday's game" at West Ham.

Incumbent Peter Crouch hasn't done much with his starting role this season, so Hughes could well turn to Jones in a bid to kick-start Stoke's attack.

Stoke have confirmed an interest in former Manchester United striker, Mame Biram Diouf.

Stoke need to improve on one of the worst goal records in the top flight and Diouf if one of several strikers on their radar. Kenwyne Jones and Peter Crouch, who have been linked to Hull and QPR respectively, are expendable if Stoke do find the right players to replace them.

Tony Pulis has left Stoke City after seven years in charge.

The Stoke City team is very much built in Pulis' image, so it's difficult to imagine what becomes of them without him. However, players like Kenwyne Jones may expect an opportunity to shine in a way that they were never allowed after joining the Potters.
