Liverpool have agreed to terms with Bolton Wanderers for the transfer of keeper Adam Bogdan, and he will join the Reds on July 1.
Bogdan has been with Bolton since they themselves were last in the top flight back in the 2011-2012 season so the Premier League is nothing new to the Hungarian international. He looks to serve as the primary backup for Simon Mignolet, pushing Brad Jones and Danny Ward down the depth chart, if not pushing one or the other out of Anfield entirely. He carries no fantasy relevance unless Mignolet misses time to injury. Jun 14 - 9:47 AM

It wasn't a scintillating match but Simon Mignolet made a key save on James Morrison when it counted to keep Liverpool even in the nil-nil draw at the Hawthorns.

The draw effectively dropped Liverpool out of the Champions League running with Manchester City six points ahead with a match yet to play against Aston Villa this week. Even if Liverpool win their make-up match in mid-week they will be hard pressed to make up the gap to fourth. Mario Balotelli got a rare start and didn't contribute much while Jordan Henderson and Philipe Coutinho at least had decent chances. Overall, the loss showed all of the same issues as the Reds FA Cup semi-final loss to Aston Villa last weekend. Not a good way to be closing out the season.

The knock Simon Mignolet picked up in Liverpool's loss to Manchester United last weekend was not serious and the Belgian international is fit to play for his country during the international break.

Mignolet is behind Thibaut Courtois on the Belgian keeper depth chart but appears to be set to back up the Chelsea man for Belgium tomorrow as they take on Cyprus and then they face Israel on Tuesday. For fantasy managers and Liverpool fans though, what matters is that the Reds' #1 will be between the sticks against Arsenal in their next league game.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet faces a race against time to be fit for Saturdays’ Euro 2016 qualifier after picking up an ankle injury during the defeat to Manchester United in GW30.

Mignolet was accidentally caught by a Wayne Rooney trailing leg during the second half on Sunday but did continue after treatment, however the ankle flared up overnight and he was sent for a precautionary scan. The Belgium stopper has resurrected his season after Brendan Rodgers dropped Mignolet for an "indefinite period" earlier in the campaign but a thigh injury for Brad Jones handed him a quick return and he hasn’t looked back since. Mignolet is ranked second in the Premier League for the number of clean sheets [12] – just two behind Fraser Forster – and although he was helpless to stop a Juan Mata double he was on hand to deny Rooney his first Anfield goal in 10 years with a wonderful penalty save.

Simon Mignolet registered his 2nd clean sheet in as many matches as Liverpool earn their 2nd 1-0 win to begin the season.

Migs is quickly becoming a legend at Anfield, causing fans just as quickly to forget about Pepe Reina. He didn't have to work as hard as last week against Stoke City, but the 3 saves he made were quality, and Liverpool were able to tame the beast that is Christian Benteke, who had already scored against top sides Chelsea and Arsenal. Mignolet is not only the top scoring keeper in the Yahoo game at the moment, he's the top scoring player, period. It's probably wise to avoid next week against Manchester United, but certainly looks worth every pound going forward.

Liverpool's defense nearly squandered a strong attacking performance by giving up a penalty late to Stoke but debutante Simon Mignolet came to the rescue.

Mignolet appeared a little nervous early but made some strong saves and eventually saved the day when Daniel Agger gave up a penalty late in the match. Mignolet dove to his right and saved Jon Walters' spot kick, preserved the win and ensured himself a very strong fantasy day as well.

Simon Mignolet joins Liverpool from Sunderland after passing a medical and signing a long-term contract.

Mignolet is only 25 and already one of the best keepers in the Premier League. This is a great long-term investment by the club getting younger and better at a key position. The next domino to fall will be Pepe Reina's inevitable move elsewhere.

Meanwhile at Anfield, Reina's status is unclear and may still hinge on Victor Valedes' "will he or won't he" routine at Barcelona.
