West Ham are desperately trying to improve their attack and are now reportedly after Senagal forward Sadio Mane.
Mane is a young prospect who has impressed for both club and country and has established himself as one of the young stars in demand. West Ham have said continuously this summer that they'll be improving their attack and rumor has it they've been after a series of attacking minded players. They've already signed Mauro Zarate to help Andy Carroll in attack and they've talked about hiring an attack minded assistant coach to help Sam Allardyce. If they can sign Mane, they'll be a strong contender for a top 10 finish next season. Jun 9 - 5:27 PM

West Ham striker Modibo Maiga is enjoying his loan at Queens Park Rangers after scoring a goal in a thrilling debut.

Maiga is on loan at QPR until the end of the season and hopes to get in great form before returning to West Ham. Maiga has struggled with the Hammers but a few months in the Championship could prove helpful for the inexperienced striker.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has voiced his support for striker Modibo Maiga and will give him another start against Crystal Palace.

Fans have been critical of Modibo Maiga for his lack of goals but Big Sam believes he played well during the Hammers' last game and that's good enough for another start against Palace. I'm not sure how conclusive the news of Maiga starting again is but I would think it's the most likely scenario. The Hammers have struggled to find goals but the 3-0 win over Fulham last weekend was a step in the right direction.

Modibo Maiga has fallen low on the depth chart at West Ham and the striker may be on his way out of London in January.

Rumor is French club Saint Etienne are interested in Maiga and may make a bid in January. Maiga had all the opportunities in the world to impress West Ham manager Sam Allardyce but has failed over and over again. If Saint Etienne make any sort of reasonable offer, don't be surprised to see Maiga on his way out of the Premier League.

Modibo Maiga scored two goals in West Ham's 3-0 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig.

Maiga showed an impressive display to help West Ham to the win. Other notables from the match were that Diame scored the third goal and Joe Cole featured in the game, looking relatively healthy and fit.
