Aston Villa are still mightily struggling for goals after a 0-1 defeat from the visiting Stoke City this past weekend.
Aston Villa once again failed to create any chances and the two starting forwards of Scott Sinclair and Rudy Gestede didn't create any danger in front of Stoke's goal. In fact, they only had two shots on target all match long. Villa have eight goals on the season, better than only Watford, West Brom, and Newcastle, and find themselves in the relegation zone after eight weeks. They'll have to find some creativity in attack, but as of now, their strikers can be avoided in most fantasy formats. Mon, Oct 5, 2015 08:07:00 PM

Scott Sinclair scored twice to help Aston Villa to a 2-2 draw against Sunderland.

Aston Villa got ahead early from the penalty spot but Sunderland were able to rebound Jeremain Lens and Yann M'Vila. Sunderland will be happy with the result as they earn a point on the road in a great comeback. Jeremain Lens has been their best player so far this season and he's looking to be a great fantasy option for the season ahead.

Scott Sinclair scored a hat-trick for Aston Villa in their 5-3 win against Notts County in the Capital One Cup.

Sinclair scored twice from open play and then from the penalty spot and looked overall pretty impressive against much lesser competition. Notts County is not a very good club and Villa should be embarrassed to have allowed three goals to them. The good news is that they were decent in attack and new signing Adama Traore scored once again in just his second Villa match. Look for them to try to improve in attack as the season goes on.

Scott Sinclair led Aston Villa to their first pre-season win of the season against Swindon.

Villa won comfortably at County Ground with goals from Scott Sinclair and Jerell Sellars. Tim Sherwood gave Jordan Amavi his first minutes in an Aston Villa shirt and the defender impressed by putting in some dangerous crosses early on. Despite Sinclair's goal, it's very hard to trust him in fantasy considering he couldn't crack Tim Sherwood's rotation at the end of the last season. It's also hard to trust anyone on Aston Villa, as their attack looks to be severely damaged with the departure of Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph. Looks elsewhere for fantasy forwards.

With Aston Villa officially out of the running for relegation, Scott Sinclair's loan move from Manchester City has now become permanent with the player signing a four-year deal.

Sinclair hasn't been a regular starter since his arrival at Villa Park but you get the sense that a summer training camp and a return to match sharpness will help him stake a claim to a bigger role for next season. Aston Villa desperately needed to rebuilding a stock of talented players after a couple seasons of cost-cutting. The permanent addition of Scott Sinclair along with the potential permanent move for Tom Cleverley would go a long way toward restocking the shelves at Villa Park. It won't put them in the top half discussion but it will certainly represent a move in the right direction.

Scott Sinclair will miss gameweek 32 with a hamstring injury.

The Aston Villa midfielder will miss out with a hamstring problem and Jack Grealish will likely start in his place once again. Grealish is a creative midfielder who has the potential to be a good fantasy choice but hasn't proven to be reliable yet so it's hard to trust him in fantasy. It's unknown how long Sinclair will be out for.

Just when it seemed the treatment room was beginning to empty at Aston Villa fate delivered a further blow to the Claret and Blues survival hopes as Scott Sinclair, Alan Hutton and Ashley Westwood were added to the injury list.

Defensively Villa were starting to look in better shape as Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker made the squad that travelled to Manchester while Jores Okore was able to overcome the knee problem which ruled him out of last weeks’ internationals. However training ground injuries during the build-up to GW31 ruled Scott Sinclair and Ashley Westwood [both hamstring] out while Alan Hutton did not appear for the second half at OT having sustained an ankle problem – the trio are unlikely to be available for Tuesday [against QPR] scuppering many a fantasy managers double game weeks plans. The availability of Aly Cissokho and Kieran Richardson also hangs in the balance with Sherwood unsure when the pair will return "I'm not holding my breath."

Scott Sinclair offers terrific value for Week 31.

This pick requires little explanation. Sinclair appears to have cemented his place in Tim Sherwood’s first choice XI. He is playing in an attacking left wing role. He offers a goal threat. He is desperate to impressive during this loan spell to reignite his career. He plays two matches in Week 31. He costs just £3.70million in the Yahoo game. Get involved.

Scott Sinclair has made it two goals in his last two matches for Aston Villa after scoring against Stoke City.

Sinclair scored in Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Leicester City earlier this week and then added another when they lost to Stoke City yesterday. The midfielder is playing in an attacking position for new manager Tim Sherwood but we don't think his goal scoring will continue. Sinclair has only registered two shots in his five matches with Aston Villa and both have gone in, which sounds like an unsustainable recipe. It's also worth noting that in the three Premier League gameweeks before this one, Sinclair only had one fantasy point in each. We would avoid him in almost all formats.

The Press Association is reporting that Scott Sinclair's long-rumored loan move to Aston Villa is on and will be completed in the next 24 hours.

The move has been the definition of on-again-off-again but it appears that good sense will prevail in the form of a move that appears to benefit all parties. Sinclair hasn't played much since his move the Manchester City and Aston Villa need somebody, anybody, who can help them score a few more goals. Sounds like a match made in heaven to us. Maybe Villa's matches will be something closer to watchable as a result. It certainly takes Sinclair's value from zero to at least something in the same way that Joleon Lescott's move from City to West Brom did for Lescott.

Aston Villa are lining up a deal with Manchester City for Scott Sinclair

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Aston Villa are in advanced talks with Manchester City and are expected to complete the signing of 25-year-old winger Scott Sinclair in the coming days. Sinclair has made just four appearances under Manuel Pellegrini this season after making the move from Swansea last year.

Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has hinted he could leave the club in January if he remains without first-team football.

Sinclair has made just three starts in two years with City following his £6.2million move from Swansea in August 2012 and last season's loan spell at West Brom wasn't much better. The 25-year-old has had to settle for a place on the bench at best this season and it would seem better for all parties if the player was allowed to leave in January.

Manchester City ended their tour of Scotland with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle, whilte a Newcastle XI were defeated.

Do not adjust your screen - Scott Sinclair still plays for Manchester City. The winger's move from Swansea to the Etihad in 2012 has been an unmitigated disaster and last season's loan spell at West Brom wasn't much better. However, the 25-year-old was given a run out by Manuel Pellegrini against Hearts and scored the opening goal, with Aleksandar Kolarov netting from the penalty spot.

Scott Sinclair has missed the last six matches but may factor in to Steve Clarke's plans for Week 12.

If Sinclair does come back to action in Week 12 it is likely that any participation will be as a substitute. Sinclair originally moved to West Brom hoping to revive his career after an ill-considered (but probably very lucrative) move to Manchester City that saw him play very little. Unfortunately due to injury and competition for places, he hasn't had a much better run of things at the Hawthorns. With the congested holiday fixture schedule coming up, he may have an opportunity to get some playing time and stake a claim to a regular role.

Winger Scott Sinclair has been ruled out of West Brom's match at Liverpool this weekend.

Sinclair was expected back after the international break, but manager Steve Clarke said that he will continue to be held out, "as you have to take precautions with muscle injuries." West Brom don't miss Sinclair as much as they might have thanks to the emergence of youngster Saido Berahino.
