Coming off of his first league goal in 2015, Adam Lallana will look to finish his first season with Liverpool on a high note when they travel to face Stoke City on Sunday.
It was always going to be difficult for Lallana to match the production he put forth last season with Southampton, but even with that taken into consideration, it has been a disappointing inaugural campaign at Anfield. Last season, Lallana was a first tier fantasy midfielder, requiring ownership from managers who had any aspirations of success. Now, he has been a fantasy afterthought as injury, form, and lack of a guaranteed spot in Brendan Rodgers' side has rendered him unplayable. He was understandably one of the most expensive players to own when the season began, but can now be had for below 8.5m. May 19 - 11:18 AM

Liverpool received a fitness boost this week with the return of Adam Lallana to training, though there is still a doubt as to whether he will make the squad for the trip to West Bromwich Albion tomorrow.

It has been an injury-plagued first season for Lallana at Anfield, but he appears to be on the verge of returning from his latest setback, a groin strain. He cannot be looked at from a fantasy perspective for the weekend but may offer something for investors in the final weeks of the season.

Adam Lallana has been withdrawn from the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers after aggravating a groin injury during Sundays’ home defeat to Manchester United.

Lallana was on the receiving end of a crunching Phil Jones challenge during the first half yesterday and as the whistle went for the interval the midfielder still looked to be visibly shaken. The injury provided Brendan Rodgers with the opportunity to change things at the break as United had taken a foothold in the game with Steven Gerrard coming on for what is expected to be his last North West derby. However a mere [38] seconds after the restart Gerrard won a robust challenge with Mata before a stamp on Herrera moments later resulted in a straight red – the LA Galaxy bound captain will now serve a three match suspension. Lallana on the other hand is likely to be missing for around 2/3 weeks while team mate Dejan Lovren also pulled out of his countries [Croatia] internationals because of an abdominal strain.

Adam Lallana came on as a substitute for Liverpool in their FA Cup match against Bolton Wanderers in midweek, but the midfielder is no guarantee to start or even feature for Brendan Rodgers' side in Saturday's Merseyside Derby.

Liverpool have been excelling lately and have Daniel Sturridge perhaps ready to start again so there is no need for Lallana to break up things in midfield. While he gave a couple of his best displays just before his month on the sidelines it has been Phillipe Coutinho who has supplied their attack with real flair and is the better of the two options for Rodgers and your fantasy XI right now.

Adam Lallana as been ruled out of action for a month following a thigh injury he picked up on New Year's Day.

It is a big blow to the Reds who were rounding into their best attacking form of the season over the festive period. Lallana bagged a brace against Swansea and limped off on 55 minutes against Leicester and the Foxes proceeded to come from 2-0 down to earn a draw at Anfield. Needless to say, it was a hit to team morale. Steven Gerrard has begun to heat up on fantasy radars and looks the best source for goals at the moment, perhaps inspired knowing his days at Anfield are nearing an end. The better value could be Phillipe Coutinho from all this though. Guaranteed pitch time is the biggest flaw for his fantasy prospects but he should be nailed on for the foreseeable future. He has either scored or assisted in four straight league matches.

Adam Lallana doubled his Liverpool goal account by bagging a brace in unconventional fashion as the Reds found their scoring shoes in a 4-1 romp of Swansea City.

Liverpool may have found that extra dimension in their attack to make it more dynamic with the combination of Lallana and Phillipe Coutinho on the pitch together, as their creativity and composure have led to their last two wins. The Reds drew first blood with a sublime triangular pathway to goal as Alberto Moreno would start the play and finish it with a nice run and finish from a Jordan Henderson cross. Lallana's first goal came in freakish style when Lukasz Fabianski sent a clearance straight into Lallana's back and the ball would deflect backward like a magnet into goal. Pool would switch off for a moment and let the Swans back in, but Lallana scored a more conventional goal with help from a nifty Coutinho pass to seal the points and then a Swansea own goal would wrap up affairs. Lallana enjoyed his best shift as a Red by far but it remains to be seen if he can stay an influential figure.

Adam Lallana continued to disappoint fantasy managers in Liveprool's 3-0 loss to Manchester United.

Lallana has dropped off significantly from last season and Liverpool's lack of success hasn't helped. They are clearly missing the spark that Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge provided last season and their whole team is struggling as a result. Lallana's fantasy value might go up with Sturridge returning from injury but we wouldn't bet on him to be a good fantasy option this season.

Adam Lallana, Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson tally strikes in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Leicester City.

Liverpool went down 1-0 early off an own goal from Simon Mignolet, but Lallana equalized five minutes later and Gerrard and Henderson added second-half strikes to give Liverpool a 3-1 victory at King Power Stadium. Gerrard got his third goal of the season and his first since September 27, while Lallana and Henderson each got their second of the season and their first since October 4.

Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Adam Lallana will be in the squad for Liverpool when they travel to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham this weekend.

Rodgers went on to say that the midfielder was still short of match fitness so you can rule out any chances of him starting. In fact, it is likely Lallana will not feature at all unless in an emergency situation as he is making a quicker-than-expected recovery from his knee injury.

Adam Lallana suffered a knee injury in training that is set to keep him sidelined at the start of the 2014/2015 Premier League season.

Lallana has ligament damage after training in Boston as the Reds are in the midst of their preseason tour in the United States. A fantasy stud last season, managers will now need to wait on his return to invest. It is probably best to take a wait-and-see approach regardless as his role in Liverpool's side may very well not be as productive as his days in Southampton. In recent years, midfielders like Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing made the jump to Anfield after a great year with a smaller club and failed miserably.

Serbian international Dusan Tadic has officially signed with Southampton for a reported £10.9m fee to replace the attacking threat in midfield created by Adam Lallana's departure for Liverpool.

New manager Ronald Koeman managed against Tadic for the past four seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie and has now brought Tadic in as his first recruit at Southampton. The difference in the fee gained for Lallana and paid for Tadic means that the Saints have plenty of room to strengthen elsewhere assuming Tadic can produce similarly to Lallana. The attacking midfielder is definitely one to watch heading into the new Premier League season as he'll have every chance to produce for the Saints and his new manager. The one warning here is that there are plenty of examples of high-scoring players from Holland who have failed to translate their success to the Premier League. The hope for Southampton will be that Koeman's familiarity with the player will have helped him pick out a player capable of making the leap.

Southampton and FC Twnete have agreed on a fee for left-winger Dusan Tadic.

Tadic has been rumored to be coming in as Adam Lallana's replacement and the deal seems imminent. Tadic has 28 goals in 66 matches in the Eredivisie and is known as a playmaker. He is a Serbia international and is highly rated at the age of just 25. It seems Southampton are keen on rebuilding their squad after selling Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, and Rickie Lambert and Tadic is the first signing in the process.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of midfielder Adam Lallana from Southampton on a long-term contract.

Lallana took the Premier League by storm, scoring nine goals and assisting six with Southampton last season. He was a creative force in the middle, involved in almost everything the Saints did. His good work earned him a spot on England's national team and now a move to Liverpool. The attacking midfielder is only 26-years-old and will be able to play for Liverpool for years to come. The Reds will be battling for the Premier League title once again next season but will also be competing in the Champions League, so expect Lallana to be busy.

Southampton are after Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic as a potential replacement for Adam Lallana.

Adam Lallana is expected to sign with Liverpool sometime this week and Southampton are already looking at replacements. Tadic is a Serbian midfielder who currently plays for FC Twente. He was the fourth best goalscorer in the Dutch top flight and is known as a do-it-all playmaker. He also had the highest number of assists in the Eredivisie. He is expected to cost around £10m but Southampton might have to battle for him as there have been rumors about more clubs interested in his services.

The Southampton exodus continues this afternoon with Adam Lallana joining Luke Shaw in leaving the Saints with the midfielder set to join Liverpool.

The money isn't ours and Liverpool don't seem inclined to stop spending so whether £25million is an over-pay or not, Liverpool are definitely better and deeper today than they were yesterday. With Champions League football on order next season and the status of Luis Suarez up in the air after his third biting incident, the news of Lallana's signing will be welcome news for Liverpool supporters. What remains to be seen once the team is fully assembled is who will be starting and how often with Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez (maybe), Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert, Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Lallana, Lucas, Joe Allen, and Emre Can all vying for playing time along with returning loanees Fabio Borini and Oussama Assaidi. That's a lot of bodies to accommodate even with extra Champions League matches sprinkled in.
