Norwich City will have to make due without Matt Jarvis after the loanee from West Ham was ruled out for a couple weeks with a knee injury.
The winger was taken off at half-time in the club's 2-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend with Nathan Redmond coming on as a replacement. Redmond is likely to regain his starting position this weekend, with Wes Hoolahan another option with Jonathan Howson's ability to play anywhere in midfield. Nov 6 - 7:03 AM

Norwich City are waiting to discover the full extent of the knee injury picked up by Matt Jarvis during Saturdays’ defeat at The Etihad.

Alex Neil confirmed the West Ham loanee "opened up his knee a little bit," after the winger went for a tackle during the first half. Jarvis has been excellent for the Canaries’ since his arrival and the loss of the 29-year-old for any significant period would be a blow, however, Norwich do have cover. Robbie Brady started the season at left-back in a 4-4-1-1 but once Martin Olsson was fit, the former Hull midfielder either played in a more advanced role or was utilised within a narrower 4-2-3-1. Nathan Redmond could also make the switch if required. Neil may need to tinker with his formation again for the visit of Swansea in game week twelve after Russell Martin received his marching orders for blocking a goal bound Raheem Sterling effort with his arm.

Matt Jarvis has rediscovered his form at Carrow Road as he scored again as part of a 3-0 Canaries win over West Brom in Capital One Cup action.

Jarvis was a lost soul at West Ham after a significant move from Wolves but he seems to have put that behind him at Norwich. He has been an effective attacking option every time he has stepped on the pitch for the Canaries and he has now scored twice in three starts for the East Anglia club. Jarvis was joined on the score sheet by Kyle Lafferty with Norwich's third goal courtesy of a Sebastien Pocognoli own goal.

Matt Jarvis will look to re-start a floundering career at Carrow Road where he will join a Norwich City attack that could use some help.

West Ham have been busy all summer adding players who are now presumably ahead of Jarvis in the queue for playing time. In Victor Moses, Dimitri Payet, Mickail Antonio, Alex Song, and Angelo Ogbonna the Hammers have an entire new midfield's worth of players to add to the ones remaining from last season. Jarvis hasn't been very good since his move to East London and maybe a change of scenery is just what the doctor ordered. He's probably not worth a waiver claim in draft leagues at this point but he's at least worth looking at to see if his new surroundings help get things moving once he returns from his thigh injury.

West Ham midfielder Matthew Jarvis is ruled out until mid September with a thigh injury.

Jarvis has been out for a few weeks now and continues to miss time with the thigh problem. He is losing his starting job to Steward Downing and Mauro Zarate while he continues to miss time and could find himself on the bench even when healthy. West Ham's attack has been better this season with Mauro Zarate and Enner Valencia and they should continue improving with or without Jarvis.

Matt Jarvis scored the opening goal in the 40th minute to give West Ham hope for a famous victory at the Emirates but it was not to be as Arsenal stormed back with three unanswered goals for the win.

West Ham played Arsenal even for most of the first half and may even have been considered the better team in the first half. In the 40th minute Matt Jarvis scored the opening goal with his head off of a rebound. The lead didn't last long as Lukas Podolski scored with a powerful left-footed shot in the 44th minute. The lead slipped away for good ten minutes into the second half as Thomas Vermaelen's long ball into the box was controlled by Olivier Giroud who put it through Adrian's legs for the match winner. Lukas Podolski scored an insurance goal for the final 3-1 scoreline.

Matthew Jarvis could return to the starting lineup on Sunday after a full week of training.

Jarvis returned to the bench for West Ham's last match but a full week of training since then can see him return to the starting lineup Sunday. Jarvis is someone to avoid in fantasy, especially against a tough Liverpool side.

Matt Jarvis is not likely to be fit for Monday Night Football with a thigh injury.

West Ham continue to struggle in attack and none of their attacking players do enough to be considered for fantasy, especially in an away match. If you are feeling extremely adventurous, West Ham lined up with Matthew Taylor, Mark Noble, Steward Downing, Kevin Nolan, and Mohamed Diame in midfield when Jarvis was out last week.

Matt Jarvis picked up a thigh injury during West Ham's loss against Manchester United and will have to be assessed before their match against Hull on Wednesday.

Jarvis started last game on the bench but came on to replace Mohamed Diame in the second half. If he can't play this game, Diame will likely get another start. West Ham are once against struggling to score goals so there is a big possibility that Sam Allardyce shuffles his lineup. Outside of Andy Carroll, West Ham's attacking players are to be avoided.
