Chelsea have added Torino right-back Davide Zappacosta for a reported £23m, plus add-ons, after missing out on Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 25-year-old moves to Stamford Bridge where he will be reunited with manager Antonio Conte—who handed the right-back his first international call up for Italy in 2016. Highly rated for his attacking capabilities, Zappacosta grabbed five assists and created 41 chances in 29 Serie A appearances for Torino last season. His arrival will see Chelsea address one of their biggest needs, as Conte will now have a third option at wingback along with Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses. Zappacosta will go head-to-head with Moses for place in the starting XI and has the potential to be a solid contributor in fantasy. He's someone to keep an eye on in all fantasy formats and worth a pick up in draft leagues, specifically those award points for peripheral metrics (crosses, interceptions, etc.) Aug 31 - 1:06 PM

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will deploy a reshuffled defense against Burnley on Saturday with wingback Victor Moses suspended.

Moses is unavailable with a suspension having picked up a red card against Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of last season. This means Cesar Azpilicueta will likely deputize for Moses at right-wingback, while Antonio Rudiger could be handed his full Chelsea debut alongside David Luiz and Gary Cahill at center back. When asked if Rudiger will start at his pre-match press conference, Antonio Conte said: "(Rudiger) Yes, could be. The reason Moses will miss for one game. Could be an opportunity to start the game for Rudiger." While Moses' absence means the Premier League champions will deploy a changed defense, a clean sheet looks likely against a Burnley side that poor away from Turf Moor last season.

Chris Green of the Nigeria Football Federation confirms Victor Moses has been omitted from the squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa because of injury.

The absence of the Chelsea winger raised a few eyebrows when the Super Eagles announced their squad for the Group E opener. Speaking to KweséESPN Green revealed Moses "has been carrying a toe injury for a while and has surgery scheduled for it." Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr is aware of the situation and decided "it was best to let him have his surgery now so he can be ready for the new season." Moses will miss the opening game of the 2017/18 season following his sending-off, for two bookable offences, in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal but he will be available for the curtain raiser seven days earlier when Chelsea face their rivals again in the Community Shield.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Victor Moses is available after recovering from a toe injury.

Moses, a surprise star of Chelsea's season, missed the defeat to Crystal Palace last Saturday and then failed to recover in time for the 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday. But the Nigerian international has since returned to training, and could return to the starting XI against the Cherries on Saturday. "He [Moses] trained with us yesterday and today but I need to check the situation to make the best decision. He is available. There are no other injuries," Conte said on Friday. The inclusion of Moses would see Cesar Azpilicueta return to a center-back role, with Kurt Zouma then likely dropped to the bench.

Victor Moses has joined up with his international teammates in London, although he is expected to leave the group because of injury.

Moses had been a doubt during the build-up to the game versus Stoke, but the Chelsea winger managed to come through 70 minutes at the Bet365 Stadium as the champions elect secured another valuable three-points on the road. However, following the game, Chelsea informed the Nigerian Football Federation that Moses was struggling with a minor calf injury and the 26-year-old is expected to be withdrawn from the squad for the upcoming friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso. The extent of the problem is not yet known, but with Eden Hazard [also calf] facing a race against time to be fit for game week 30 [vs Crystal Palace], Antonio Conte can ill-afford to lose another one of his star performers.

A year ago, Victor Moses' future at Chelsea looked dim; now, the winger has signed a new contract through the 2021 season.

The Nigerian international has found his niche as a right wing-back in manager Antonio Conte's vaunted 3-4-3 system with Moses starting every Premier League match since October 1 against Hull City. Following loans at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham in previous seasons, Moses seems to have found his place at Stamford Bridge: "I feel very excited. I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal. Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season. We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence."

Chelsea had to come from behind but they secured a 2-1 victory on the strength of goals from Pedro and Victor Moses.

Spurs started off the better team with Harry Kane seeing a goal disallowed for offsides with ten minutes. Shortly thereafter Christian Eriksen scored from distance to put the visitors up a goal. Pedro equalized before halftime from a Matic assist. That left another player reborn under Antonio Conte to decide it as Victor Moses scored in the 51st minute. The win restored the Blues to the top of the table after City and Liverpool had won earlier in the day.

West Ham confirmed that on-loan players Victor Moses, Alex Song, and Emmanuel Emenike will all return to their parent clubs.

Moses had a down year in yet another season on loan from Chelsea, recording only one goal and two assists in 21 Premier League games. The Nigerian international began the year as a bona fide starter under Slaven Bilic before niggling injuries throughout the season threw a wrench into his form. Meanwhile, Alex Song will return to Barcelona after appearing in only 12 league matches in his second loan season at West Ham, making the Hammers look good for not turning his initial loan into a permanent deal. Lastly, Emmanuel Emenike heads back to Fenerbahce after failing to score a Premier League goal in eight appearances since January.

Victor Moses impressed Slaven Bilic in his bench role in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Norwich City.

West Ham were losing 2-0 but it was Victor Moses that created the first goal in their comeback. The winger made a great run into the opposition box and placed a shot on target, which was then deflected into Dimitri Payet for an easy tap-in. Payet later assisted for the second goal to complete the comeback, but Moses was an integral part of the match. He has a good shot to start next gameweek.

Victor Moses has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The West Ham midfielder limped out during West Ham's match at Old Trafford this past weekend and will join Payet, Sakho, Lanzini, and Reid on the sidelines. This is another huge blow for West Ham, who have been badly hurt by injuries. Their fantastic season will have to be put on hold while everyone recovers, and they will hope to stay in the fight for a top six finish until they get a few guys back.

Victor Moses joins Enner Valencia, Dimitri Payet, Diafra Sakho and Manuel Lanzini in the West Ham treatment room after limping out of yesterdays’ draw at Old Trafford with a suspected hamstring strain.

West Ham took a share of the spoils against Manchester United but the performance was marred slightly by the loss of Moses who suffered a muscular problem midway through the first half. The winger looks set for an extended period on the sidelines. The Chelsea loanee became the third Hammer within the space of the last 7-days to suffer a soft-tissue injury. "It is painful to be without Dimi Payet, Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho, Manuel Lanzini and now Victor Moses," admitted Slaven Bilic. "We have to wait for a scan but it doesn't look good, it's not like cramp. I don't know if it's three, four, five or six weeks." Michail Antonio is in line to make his first Premier League start against Stoke City at the Boleyn Ground next weekend.

Victor Moses was in alone on David De Gea and the Spaniard saved well with his legs to preserve what ended up being a nil-nil draw between the Hammers and Red Devils at Old Trafford.

West Ham had more and better opportunities to score a goal but couldn't come away with more than a point against the struggling Red Devils. While a point at Old Trafford is generally not something to look down your nose at, Slaven Bilic will look at it as two points dropped rather than one picked up given the way the match unfolded. The outcome likely says more about United's struggles than it does about the Hammers rebounding from the loss of Dimitri Payet.
