AFC Bournemouth took an early lead but came out on the losing side of Saturday's match after conceding two unanswered goals to Sunderland.
Bournemouth took an early lead through Dan Gosling when the midfielder knocked in a cross from defender Charlie Daniels to put them ahead after just 11 minutes. However, despite this early lead being erased by Victor Anichebe in the 33rd minute, Bournemouth was handed a man advantage when Steven Pienaar was dismissed, for a second yellow, in the 59th minute. While it appeared Eddie Howe's side would cruise to a victory they were again undone by Anichebe. The forward proved the difference maker for Sunderland as he who drew a penalty in the 74th minute, which Jermaine Defore converted to give his side a 2-1 lead. Defore's goal would prove to be the matchwinner as Bournemouth saw their attempts to draw level quelled by Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Eddie Howe will be left disappointed after dropping points in match that saw his club control 70 percent of possession and fail to capitalize on a man advantage. Nov 5 - 1:55 PM

Bournemouth midfielder Dan Gosling is not letting his recent time as a bit part player for Bournemouth to get him down.

Gosling, who was a fairly consistent starter for the club with 29 to his name last season now finds himself down the pecking order after new signings like Jack Wilshere and the rise of Harry Arter to a nailed on starter. This season, Gosling has had appearances off the bench consistently but just one start - in the 0-0 with Spurs. He wasn't even meant to start that game but was parachuted in during the warm up after Andrew Surman pulled up with illness. With Surman ruled out for GW11 he hopes to prove his worth team Eddie Howe as more than a bench option.

AFC Bournemouth were probably happy before kickoff to know they would secure an away point, but it came after going up 0-2 before capitulating twice to get their 2-2 draw.

After looking the better side only to see nineteen shots miss the net in their previous loss to Newcastle United, the Cherries were able to find the finished product twice today, both inside the opening half hour. First up was Joshua King, who took advantage of his striker role when a Junior Stanislas cross caught the Swansea defense in a mix up. Then, Matt Ritchie made it two goals to the good by holding the ball in the box for a charging Gosling who took a one-touch rifle shot to the top corner of the net. Bournemouth were unable to hold their lead for long though as Swansea got two goals back before the break. Still, an encouraging result, especially from an attacking perspective, after a long dry run. They climb back within a point of Newcastle United to escape the relegation zone.

AFC Bournemouth received a double whammy today, losing their match to Stoke City 2-1 while their key attacking player Callum Wilson was stretchered off with a non-contact leg injury.

Wilson has been at the heart of every positive result for the Cherries thus far, and if he were to miss significant time, it could be a major blow to their goal of staying up in their promotional season. His removal on 18 minutes knocked the wind out of his teammates sails until Gosling found a moment of magic in the 76th minute. A Marc Pugh shot was saved, but the ball landed in Gosling's path and he turned to fire accurately for his first goal of the campaign. It wasn't to be though as the defense capitulated a header late on. They are on a point per game pace at the moment, usually good enough to stave off the drop, but they cannot afford to lose Wilson long term.

Newcastle United's Dan Gosling is set to join Crystal Palace after agreeing personal terms with the London club.

Remeber Dan Gosling? The midfielder was one of Everton's brightest young stars and he was tipped for an England call-up before suffering a cruciate ligament injury in 2010. He joined Newcastle that summer but suffered a reoccurance of the injury and has struggled to break in to the Newcastle set-up under Alan Pardew since fighting back to fitness. Palace boss Ian Holloway gave Gosling his professional debut for Plymouth Argyle seven years ago and will be looking to help revive his career.
