Graham Dorrans has signed a two year contract with Norwich City, transferring from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee.
Dorrans joined the Canaries on loan last winter and enjoyed success - playing regularly as he helped the club gain promotion in the second half of the season. He figures to be in the mix as a regular for the upcoming campaign as his top flight experience is as established as anyone on the roster. Sat, Jul 4, 2015 11:26:00 AM

Graham Dorrans failed to convert a penalty as West Brom and Hull City played to a scoreless draw.

Saturday featured a number of nil-nil draws and West Brom and Hull City featured in the most likely of them. Victor Anichebe drew a foul in the box for the best scoring chance on the day. Unfortunately, Graham Dorrans couldn't convert and the match ended without a goal.

Graham Dorrans hasn't contributed a great deal this season but Week 14 saw him notch his third assist of the season in the Baggies' 2-1 loss to West Ham.

In addition to the assist, Dorrans managed a shot on target, two passes intercepted, two successful crosses and won two tackles. The combined total of his efforts was good for 13 points in the Yahoo format which represents nearly a quarter of his output for the season to date. Hard to imagine this becoming a trend based on the large sample size we have of Dorrans in the Premier League but with the player seemingly healthy he at least deserves watching in deeper formats to see if he can lift his game.

The Scottish FA today confirmed that Graham Dorrans will return to West Bromich Albion for further assessment after aggravating a long-standing heel problem.

The midfielder becomes the second Baggies player to return to club within the last 24 hours following the withdrawal of goalkeeper Ben Foster who suffered a thumb problem while away with England. The full extent of the injuries are not yet known but their availability for game week four against Everton is already rated as "doubtful." The West Brom medical team will now allow a period of rest - 48/72 hours - before a full examination is carried out. Alan Irvine had hoped the international fixtures would provide an ideal opportunity for his players to gain some much needed match-fitness but as his injury problems begin to mount the coach will be on tenterhooks praying there are no further setbacks.

West Brom could only manage to hold the ball for 40% of the match and managed one shot on target in 90 minutes of action. It comes as no surprise that they lost.

You couldn't blame goalkeeper Ben Foster for the headed goal he allowed to Olivier Giroud but there were also no heroes for West Brom as they capitulated rather weakly at the Emirates. The Baggies aren't mathematically safe from relegation yet but it would take quite a performance by Norwich over their final two matches against Chelsea and Arsenal to threaten West Brom's chances of another season in the Premier League.

Southampton boss Sam Allardyce is interested in acquiring West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans.

Dorrans has struggled with West Brom as of late and is believed to be available for around £3m. That price is acceptable even though he will likely be a backup for the Saints midfield. He is fantasy irrelevant and will remain that way in the near future.
