Oussama Assaidi has left Liverpool FC on a permanent transfer to Al Ahli Club of the UAE Arabian Gulf League.
Assaidi made just 12 appearances for the Reds since his move to Anfield in the summer of 2012 and has been on loan to Stoke City for the past season and a half. The wide man was useful to a sluggish Potters attack last year but could not earn enough pitch time since the arrival and production of Bojan and Mame Biram Diouf. Being surplus to needs for his parent club as well, Assaidi will get the playing time he is yearning for in Dubai. Mon, Jan 12, 2015 03:10:00 PM

Having returned for a second loan at Stoke City on deadline day, Oussama Assaidi is in contention to make his first start of the season for the Potters.

The Liverpool player enjoyed a productive loan spell at Stoke City under Mark Hughes' direction over the second half of last season and hopes to pick up where he left off now that he is back in red and white stripes. With Peter Odemwingie out and Mame Biram Diouf returning late from international duty, Stoke may need his attacking punch right away. It may be one week too early to start the winger for fantasy purposes but if you're in a pinch he's a better than 50% bet to start.

Stoke City have signed forward Oussama Assaidi from Liverpool on a season-long loan and will pay a £1m loan free.

Assaidi should be useful for Stoke, who need the help in attack. He wasn't going to get any playing time at Liverpool, so this is definitely a positive transfer for the forward. It's important to note that he has a lateral knee ligament sprain and could be out of action for a while. We don't have a return date for him so keep an eye out before you add him to any fantasy leagues. He is only a fantasy option in the deepest of formats, even when healthy.

Stoke loanee, Oussama Assaidi, injured his knee in Stoke's Dubai training camp and will miss "a number of weeks", according to manager Mark Hughes.

Assaidi, on loan from Liverpool, has not been able to hold down a regular place for Stoke, but has been a spark off the bench and has scored a number or spectacular goals.

Stoke City and Moroccan-international winger Oussama Assaidi is uncertain whether or not he will return to parent club Liverpool at the end of his loan spell or remain with the Potters.

"I don't know what is going to happen with me. Sometimes (Liverpool manager) Brendan Rodgers texts me, but I don't know. I am very happy here, because (Stoke manager) Mark Hughes has made me better, giving me a lot of confidence and letting me do my job the way I want to. Everyone at the club seems to like me. We will see at the end of the year what happens. He (Rodgers) texts me sometimes if I score, saying 'well done', 'keep going' and 'I am hearing good things about you'. But I love to play here for Stoke because they have given me a chance." Assaidi has gone the entire 90-minutes in six games this season. He has three goals in his last six appearances, but he cannot feature in the teams' next fixture against Liverpool. He will be eligible to play January 18 at Crystal Palace.

Oussama Assaidi stunned Chelsea with a late last minute goal to give Stoke City a 3-2 win.

Chelsea started the game well and opened the scoring in the 9th minute but Stoke never gave up and eventually edged out the Blues. Andre Schurrle scored twice for Chelsea while Steven Ireland and Peter Crouch scored the other two goals for Stoke. This is a huge loss for Jose Mourinho's side as they are four points behind league leaders Arsenal and can fall behind even further if Arsenal pick up points tomorrow.

Stoke City have signed Liverpool winger Oussama Assaide on loan from Liverpool.

Assaidi was signed by Liverpool after three good years in the Eredivisie with Heerenween, where he scored 20 goals. Liverpool have depth at the wide attacking spots and have been able to sell Stewart Downing to West Ham as well as loan out Suso to Almeria. Assaidi will now have to compete with the likes of Matt Etherington, Jermaine Pennant, Brek Shea, and Michael Kightly for a first team spot at Stoke.
