In his first start for the Baggies, Jake Livermore contributed to a clean sheet and put up some solid peripheral stats.
The problem in assessing Jake Livermore's debut for Tony Pulis' side is that it came due to a Claudio Yacob illness. Livermore played well contributing to a clean sheet and having a strong chance on goal late that he missed out on due to an unfortunate slip. Stoke City are a solid opponent leaving open the real possibility that Livermore could be a solid fantasy option in scoring systems that favor peripheral stats. That said, it seems likely that he will drop back to the bench in favor of Yacob once the Argentine is healthy again which should be this weekend. Feb 9 - 9:11 AM

Jake Livermore has completed a £10 million move from Hull City to West Bromwich Albion after Tony Pulis failed in his bid for Morgan Schneiderlin.

Apparently Tony Pulis can only go so long adding attacking options before he needs to reconnect with who he is and bring in a player whose primary purpose is to disrupt attacks rather than spark them. After being beaten to the Morgan Schneiderlin punch by Everton, Tony Pulis has purchased a similar profile of player in former Spurs trainee Jake Livermore. Livermore will have to compete with Claudio Yacob and Darren Fletcher for time in the Albion midfield. Little about Livermore's history leads us to believe that his contributions will be statistically significant for fantasy purposes regardless of scoring format.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has made a £10 million bid for Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore.

Pulis is in the market for a midfielder with a defensive mentality, having unsuccessfully pursued Morgan Schneiderlin already in this winter transfer window. Livermore was signed by Hull in 2014 from Spurs and has a single cap for England. He started last Saturday's victory against Bournemouth on the bench with Ryan Mason and Tom Huddlestone both being favoured by new boss Marco Silva.

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore's contract has been extended by Hull City in order to keep him at the club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Livermore's deal was set to expire at the end of the season which would have allowed him to leave on a free in the summer. However, in the absence of a long term deal being secured, Hull have acted to retain the services of the 27 year old. Negotiations over a long-term agreement will resume in the New Year.

Hull City's caretaker boss Mike Phelan is yet to find the correct balance for his Hull team in midfield.

Last weekend's 2-0 home loss to Chelsea showed very positive signs in the first half but eroded quickly in the second half. The 4-3-3/4-5-1 that they play limited a surprisingly limited Chelsea outfit in the first half. The Blues actually failed to get a shot on target in that half while Hull create a few half-chances. Arguments are starting to become more justified for Jake Livermore to return to his natural slot in central midfield, with Diomande dropping to the bench and Clucas to push out left. Plenty of food for thought for Phelan, who faces a good run of fixtures after the international break.

Mike Phelan is not ruling out a defensive future for Jake Livermore who has made the successful transition from midfield maestro to ball-playing centre-back following a number of injuries at the start of the new campaign.

Livermore stepped in for the season opener against champions Leicester City and he hasn’t looked back since. Losing Michael Dawson and Harry Maguire [both ankle] in pre-season, and with limited options in a threadbare Tigers squad, Livermore slotted into the back-four to partner Curtis Davies and the 26-year-old has started every Premier League game even though Maguire is now fit. "I've never really had the conversation with Jake as to where he sees his future, whether that's in midfield or the position he's in at the moment," said Phelan. "He's taken to it really, really well. When we look at the games and we analyse, he's very comfortable there. He's added a certain amount of calmness to proceedings."

Jake Livermore was sent-off during the first half at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday, but the midfielder, come defender will be available for selection in game week six.

Livermore blocked Francis Coquelin's goal-bound effort in the box, leaving referee Roger East with no option but to send him off and award the visitors a penalty despite protests from the home side. However, Hull will feel justice was served after Eldin Jakupovic guessed correctly, diving to his right, to save Alexis Sanchez's low spot-kick. Because the offence carries a mandatory one game ban, Livermore will serve his suspension in the EFL Cup on Wednesday making him eligible for the game at Anfield next weekend.

Jake Livermore, who remains suspended for a positive drug test, will be Steve Bruce's only enforced absentee for their season finale against Manchester United.

It is all on the line for Hull City as Manchester United come to the KC Stadium looking to guarantee their former player Steve Bruce and his charges are relegated. Hull City need to win against the fourth place team in the league and get help from West Ham who must win or draw at St. James' Park for Hull City to stay up. Bruce will likely name an unchanged side for the match which means Nikica Jelavic, Dame N'Doye, Ahmed Elmohamady and Robbie Brady are likely the most interesting fantasy prospects.

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore has been suspended for the final two weeks of the season following a positive test for cocaine.

Steve Bruce will be doubly mad about Livermore's suspension. There's the normal aggravation that a manager has with a player who gets suspended for something entirely avoidable. This is compounded by the fact that Hull City are fighting for their Premier League lives and now they'll have to do it a man down. Whether there will be longer term ramifications for Livermore will likely be revealed over the summer.

Jake Livermore was poor against Arsenal on Monday and now faces a late fitness test ahead of Hull City's massive match against Burnley at the KC Stadium.

If Steve Bruce is going to get the Livermore we saw on Monday - misplacing passes and being dispossessed in inopportune parts of the field - then maybe he'll be hoping that Livermore fails his fitness test. At his best, Livermore is an integral cog in Hull City's midfield but that certainly wasn't the case against Arsenal. With Hull City needing three points in the worst way, Bruce will likely be conservative with any injury decisions.

It hasn't been a very productive second season at Hull City for Jake Livermore so far but Week 12 saw a goal against his former club.

It isn't exactly clear what Jake Livermore is. He isn't an attacking midfielder peppering the net with shots. He isn't a wide creator sprinkling in crosses and making fancy moves on the wing. He isn't a classic number ten dribbling and setting up easy goals for his teammates. He isn't a Makelele-style destroyer from deep or even a Pirlo-like initiator of attacks from a deep lying role. He just sort of "is" without any single outstanding quality. As such, you should probably look at his goal against Spurs as a nicely taken anomaly rather than the start of something.

On the back of a successful loan spell, Hull City have been trying to make Jake Livermore's deal permanent but today comes news he may be headed to Crystal Palace instead.

Tottenham have a crowded midfield before you start considering players like Livermore and Lewis Holtby who were loaned out last season. Spurs seem keen to cash in on at least one of those two players this summer. The common wisdom has been that Spurs and Hull City would come to an agreement that would make last season's successful loan permanent. Apparently there may be other suitors after Livermore was linked with Crystal Palace today. Palace could certainly use another strong central midfielder as they look to continue building on a strong second half under Tony Pulis.

Jake Livermore scored his second goal of the season to put Hull City ahead in the first half, but the Tigers would leak a goal late and they had to settle for a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Hull's only goal came on the counter attack with a deep pass that found Danny Graham who held the ball up long enough for Livermore to race into position and he kicked right through newly returned keeper Ben Foster's five-hole. In their last twelve games, Hull have scored more than one goal just once, a trend that will not help their efforts in staying up during their promotional season. They appear to miss a healthy Robbie Brady badly and will need to dip into the transfer market to add a bit more punch to their attack.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce will attempt to purchase midfielder Jake Livermore from Tottenham.

Livermore is currently a loanee at Hull where he's appeared in 14 of the first 15 games to start the season. Since all loaned players are not allowed to face the club they're contracted to, the only game he hasn't gone the full 90 minutes in since week two was Hull's meeting with Tottenham on October 27. Bruce admits that it would love to have him, but that ultimately it will be up to Tottenham to decide whether or not they let him go. "I'd love to do a deal for Jake if it's possible but he's Tottenham's player. I'll have a conversation and the key to it is Spurs. It's in their corner because he's their player and whether they are willing to sell is a big question." Livermore scored his first goal for the club on December 1 against Liverpool and will look to add to that this week against Stoke City. Hull currently sit in 12th place.

On-loan Hull midfielder Jake Livermore is ineligible to face his parent club, Spurs, this weekend.

Livermore has been a vital part of Hull's surprising start, playing just in front of the Tigers' defence. He, along with several other first-teamers, will be missed as Hull look to continue their surprisingly effective start to the season.
