Chelsea and Shanghai SIPG have agreed terms for the permanent transfer of Oscar, the Premier League leaders announced on Friday.
Oscar will join the Chinese Super League outfit at the beginning of the January window on a permanent transfer worth a reported £60m. Oscar began the season playing in a deeper role for Antonio Conte but saw his time limited after the Italian manager swapped to a 3-4-3 formation. Oscar will now head to Shanghi to link up with former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas and fellow Brazilians Hulk and Elkeson. Oscar spent four-and-a-half-years with Chelsea, scoring 38 times from 203 total appearances. Sun, Dec 25, 2016 05:19:00 PM

Manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that attacking midfielder Oscar and defender John Terry will be unavailable for Sunday's clash with West Brom.

Oscar, who was named to the 18-man squad against Manchester City but did not feature last weekend, will miss Sunday's fixture with West Brom through illness. Conte also confirmed that John Terry will be unavailable as he's still recovering from a muscular problem. The omissions will likely see Nathaniel Chalobah and Ola Aina retain their places in the 18-man squad, while Nemanja Matic is expected to be in contention for the starting XI.

Oscar made a bench appearance yesterday in Chelsea's match against Paris Saint Germain.

There were concerns that Oscar would miss out due to an injury but he was able to put in 20 minutes and seems to be close to full health. He is probable heading into next weekend's matches but may not get a start after Pedro impressed in Chelsea's match against Newcastle last weekend. Oscar is worth holding onto in season long leagues and is worth a punt-play in daily leagues if he starts.

Chelsea's Oscar could miss the club's Premier League match on Wednesday due to a toe injury.

Oscar picked up the injury in the FA Cup and had to be taken off at halftime in favor for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Oscar is questionable for the upcoming midweek match as injuries are suddenly mounting for Chelsea. In his absence, Pedro and Willian would pick up big boosts and will both be very likely to start.

Oscar returned to Chelsea's squad today to lead them to a 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Chelsea powered through with goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa, and Cesc Fabregas and Jose Mourinho's changes seemed to have gotten the job done in this one. The Special One decided to bring in a number of youngsters into the starting XI and that paid off well with a huge win against Maccabi. The Blues will now get ready to face Arsenal on Saturday in their biggest match of the season to date.

Chelsea's Oscar will miss out on the team's week five match against Everton.

Oscar has been dealing with a slight knock but is now back at training and should be back as soon as gameweek six. His absence this week will likely see Pedro feature once again behind Diego Costa and likely rotate with Eden Hazard and Willian across the three attacking midfielder spots. Pedro is once again a great fantasy option and he has been good enough to keep his place in the Chelsea starting XI even when Oscar returns.

Oscar has emerged as an injury doubt for Chelsea's week two match against Manchester City.

Oscar picked up a knock during training according to Jose Mourinho's press conference earlier today. He is a doubt for Sunday's match, and if he can't go, Victor Moses or Ramires will likely come in to replace him. If Victor moses is the one to get the start, Hazard or Willian will likely move to the middle of the pitch, with Moses on the wing. This doesn't sound like a big injury for Oscar and he should be back sooner rather than later.

The Daily Express are reporting that Chelsea are willing to sell Oscar to Juventus if the Italian champions meet their £25 million valuation of the player.

Oscar seems to be quietly entering Andre Schurrle territory at Stamford Bridge. That is to say that he is undeniably a very good player but seems to have been deemed "not Chelsea material" by Jose Mourinho. Over the course of the season Mourinho appeared to be de-emphasizing the Brazilian playmaker in favor of moving Cesc Fabregas into a more advanced role. It could be that the Brazilian, like many in the Chelsea squad, was just exhausted after not being rotated much or whether he has truly fallen down the pecking order at the Bridge remains to be seen. The rumors of a transfer out just won't go away nor has Mourinho or anyone else at Chelsea stood up and said that the player is not for sale.

Brazilian playmaker Oscar will not be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer according to the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian.

Oscar was rumoured to be top of a Juventus wish list with talk of the 23 year-old being used as a makeweight in a deal for former Man United midfielder Paul Pogba but those stories now look to be a little wide of the mark "there is no truth to it at all. Oscar will not be leaving Chelsea" claimed Joorabchian. Oscar made 26 BPL starts last season before a thigh muscle injury ended his season early forcing him to miss the Copa America. However one player who won’t be returning to the club anytime soon is Mohamed Salah. Fiorentina have triggered an option for an additional 12 month loan deal although the player himself is yet to agree with Inter Milan also interested in signing the midfielder.

Brazilian coach Dunga announced his 23-man squad for next month’s Copa America which included a number of Premier League players, however there was one notable absentee – Chelsea midfielder Oscar.

It was widely accepted that Oscar – who sat out of Sundays’ win over Crystal Palace – was still suffering from the after-effects of concussion but Dunga revealed "Oscar got an injury in his last training session with Chelsea, we spoke with Jose Mourinho and the doctor. His recuperation will take time he won’t be at his best during the Copa America." The specifics of the injury aren’t known at this stage although it is believed to be muscular related – possibly thigh – and with the Premier League title already secured the club will take no chances. Team mates Willian and Felipe Luis were called up along with Liverpool play maker Philippe Coutinho.

Chelsea would score early and often as Diego Costa and Oscar would both bag a brace by the 36th minute and the Blues would coast from there to embarrass Swansea City 0-5 at the Liberty Stadium.

You won't see a much better attacking display in the league this season than what Chelsea were able to do in the opening half here. The first goal came in the opening minute when Oscar scored off a Gylfi Sigurdsson turnover. Then came Costa's first goal of the day after a dizzying display of passing found him clear. Costa would add his second of the day and 17th of the season when Federico Fernandez inexplicably sent a back pass straight to the open striker who finished cooly. Costa then would assist Oscar as he crossed it into the Brazilian's path who made a run into the area and struck to seal his brace, giving him eight goals in the league so far this term. Chelsea would cruise during the second half, preserving their clean sheet and adding a final goal from substitute Andre Schurrle. The match of the season comes next weekend when Manchester City come to Stamford Bridge.

Oscar lead Chelsea to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle by scoring and assisting.

The Chelsea midfielder scored an easy tap-in right before halftime and then assisted to Diego Costa at the hour mark to put the game away. Newcastle were unlucky not to score in the first half after missing several good chances. Petr Cech made some incredible saves during the first half, keeping the game level and allowing Chelsea to raise their energy level in the second half. With Manchester City dropping points, Chelsea are now two points on top of the table.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has recovered from an illness and will return to the match-day squad for week 20.

The Brazilian missed on GW19 through an illness that was announced after the match, so managers unexpectedly suffered from his absence. Despite the illness, he is now healthy and rested and will push for a start in week 20. We feel confident in his chances of playing and think he is a great fantasy option. Chelsea have a full squad to choose from on New Year's Day.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar missed the gameweek 19 match against Southampton due to an illness.

We had hyped up Oscar as a low-chance of being rested for this week and it backfired by him missing out completely due to an unannounced illness. Jose Mourinho brought the news in the post-match conference but didn't specify a return for the Brazilian. Oscar has a good chance of returning for New Year's Day but we would check back before the deadline for any updates.

There is a low chance of Chelsea midfielder Oscar being rested on Sunday.

The attacking midfielder played 80 minutes on Friday and was rested last weekend. At the same time, Willian and Eden Hazard haven't seen a day of in a while, especially Hazard, who hasn't missed a minute of Premier League football since mid-October. We would consider Oscar safe to play in fantasy on Sunday.
