Chelsea would score early and often as Diego Costa and Oscar would both bag a brace by the 36th minute and the Blues would coast from there to embarrass Swansea City 0-5 at the Liberty Stadium.
You won't see a much better attacking display in the league this season than what Chelsea were able to do in the opening half here. The first goal came in the opening minute when Oscar scored off a Gylfi Sigurdsson turnover. Then came Costa's first goal of the day after a dizzying display of passing found him clear. Costa would add his second of the day and 17th of the season when Federico Fernandez inexplicably sent a back pass straight to the open striker who finished cooly. Costa then would assist Oscar as he crossed it into the Brazilian's path who made a run into the area and struck to seal his brace, giving him eight goals in the league so far this term. Chelsea would cruise during the second half, preserving their clean sheet and adding a final goal from substitute Andre Schurrle. The match of the season comes next weekend when Manchester City come to Stamford Bridge. Jan 17 - 12:00 PM

Oscar lead Chelsea to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle by scoring and assisting.

The Chelsea midfielder scored an easy tap-in right before halftime and then assisted to Diego Costa at the hour mark to put the game away. Newcastle were unlucky not to score in the first half after missing several good chances. Petr Cech made some incredible saves during the first half, keeping the game level and allowing Chelsea to raise their energy level in the second half. With Manchester City dropping points, Chelsea are now two points on top of the table.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has recovered from an illness and will return to the match-day squad for week 20.

The Brazilian missed on GW19 through an illness that was announced after the match, so managers unexpectedly suffered from his absence. Despite the illness, he is now healthy and rested and will push for a start in week 20. We feel confident in his chances of playing and think he is a great fantasy option. Chelsea have a full squad to choose from on New Year's Day.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar missed the gameweek 19 match against Southampton due to an illness.

We had hyped up Oscar as a low-chance of being rested for this week and it backfired by him missing out completely due to an unannounced illness. Jose Mourinho brought the news in the post-match conference but didn't specify a return for the Brazilian. Oscar has a good chance of returning for New Year's Day but we would check back before the deadline for any updates.

There is a low chance of Chelsea midfielder Oscar being rested on Sunday.

The attacking midfielder played 80 minutes on Friday and was rested last weekend. At the same time, Willian and Eden Hazard haven't seen a day of in a while, especially Hazard, who hasn't missed a minute of Premier League football since mid-October. We would consider Oscar safe to play in fantasy on Sunday.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar was rested in Monday's win over Stoke City and will be ready for the Friday showdown against West Ham United.

Oscar has had a strong season and with Eden Hazard struggling to be fit for Friday, Oscar seems more and more likely to make the starting XI. In a home match, Oscar makes for a good fantasy choice this weekend. Use him with confidence.

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has signed a new contract at Chelsea that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2019.

The midfielder had a fantastic World Cup with Brazil this summer and has had a hot start to the season with Chelsea. He has made 15 appearances and scored four goals this season and Chelsea have cruised through all competitions thus far. Continue to use Oscar in fantasy and look to invest in him in dynasty leagues.

Oscar scored in the 32nd minute and Eden Hazard converted the game-winner via penalty in the 75th minute to give Chelsea its league-leading 8th win of the season.

Oscar and Hazard share the same stat line through 10 games - three goals and two assists - although the latter has been on the field for an extra 208 minutes. Oscar has three goals and one assist in his last five matches and it looks as if he's cemented himself into the starting XI after beginning the year without getting a single minute in two of the first five games. Chelsea travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool next weekend in hopes of pushing their undefeated streak to 11 games.

Oscar is averaging 10 fantasy points per game after his 24 point performance over the weekend.

The Chelsea midfielder has been very good this season, averaging as many fantasy points per game as Cesc Fabregas and more than Eden Hazard. The problem with him is playing time, but that has been much more consistent this year compared to last. A big plus is that he's only owned by less than 9% of fantasy managers, giving you a differential play if you need one. We still only prefer Oscar in plus matchups but he is a solid choice at his price.

Oscar fired in the game-winning goal from 25 yards out in Chelsea's Capital One Cup match vs Bolton on Wednesday.

The goal comes at a good time for Oscar who has only gone the full 90 minutes once for Chelsea through its first five league games. Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic are regular starters in Jose Mourinho's five-man midfield, leaving two spots open for four players; Ramires, Andre Schurrle, Oscar and Willian. As long as they all remain healthy, Mourinho will likely keep the rotation going throughout season. However, Oscar's performance on Wednesday only helps his cause. If he continues to produce in games like this Mourinho will have to give him more time. For now, he's a risky player to own in Yahoo's Fantasy PL game.

Brazil could not recover from the blowout loss to Germany in the semi-finals as they were defeated by The Netherlands 0-3, ending their World Cup run in embarrassing fashion.

Part of the outcome today belongs to a few blown calls by the referee, but in the end, Brazil were beaten fairly by a Dutch side that showed their dominance on both sides of the ball. Oscar put in a decent shift and the hosts were not without their chances, but the key pass to give an attacker a clear shot on target was not to be had. Meanwhile, the defense showed a lack of cohesion that was evident in their semi-final drubbing. They finish the tournament by being outscored 10-1 and their streak of avoiding back-to-back losses at home of any variety, a record older than the actual Girl From Ipanema, comes to a bitter end.

Brazil's Oscar has admitted that he's had contact with Paris Saint-Germain but insists he's staying at Chelsea.

Oscar has been a huge part of Brazil's World Cup roster so far and he has shown big improvement over the past couple of years. Oscar should be a huge part of what Chelsea do next season and we don't anticipate him leaving. Jose Mourinho has repeatedly admitted that he likes Oscar and we don't expect that to change. Oscar and Brazil face Chile in the next round of the World Cup on Saturday. Expect him to continue being a big part of that team.

Brazil overcame an early own goal and benefited from a questionable penalty given to them as a Neymar brace led the way to three points for the host country in the 3-1 final over Croatia.

From a PL standpoint, Oscar was the major storyline, looking sharp as the playmaker throughout the match. He assisted Neymar's goal from open play and added a goal of his own to put the game out of reach in the closing minutes. By the time it was all said and done, it was hard to argue against Brazil being the better side, especially in the final third, but they will need to improve their focus as they get deeper into the tournament.
