Callum McManaman could get some playing time this weekend after coming through a training match in mid-week healthy.
It seems unlikely that McManaman will get a start right away after playing his first training match in mid-week. It is more likely that he'll get a substitute appearance this weekend and then contend for a starting spot for Week 33 and beyond as the Baggies play out the Premier League season's final weeks. He has almost no fantasy value this weekend. Apr 1 - 4:03 PM

West Brom have been dealt a major blow with the news that winger Callum McManaman will be sidelined for up-to six weeks after damaging ankle ligaments in training.

News of the setback comes shortly after the club confirmed that midfielder James Morrison could miss around two months having suffered a serious hamstring strain during the draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Despite the 24-year-old being limited to just two Premier League starts, McManaman remains an integral part of Tony Pulis’ plans and his loss will be worrying as the Baggies squad begins to look a little stretched. Darren Fletcher is managing a knee ligament problem while Chris Brunt is struggling to overcome a persistent calf issue. Saido Berahino could yet still move before the end of the transfer window and Salomon Rondon has suffered of late due to fatigue. West Brom are hoping to bring in Sandro on-loan as cover - from QPR - for the remainder of the campaign.

With James McClean suspended for the next three matches, Callum McManaman is likely to get a chance to push his claim for a starting spot.

Irony abounds as McManaman, who carries a reputation for uncompromising play that boarders on the dirty, is highly likely to get a run of matches due to someone else's, in this case James McClean's, indiscipline. McClean ran halfway across the pitch to try to avenge a perceived rash challenge from Adam Smith (which looked perfectly reasonable on replay) and was banned three matches for violent conduct after being red carded. McManaman has struggled to deliver consistent results in the Premier League when given a chance so expectations should be modest even with Swansea the opposition on Boxing Day.

Callum McManaman has been passed fit for action as West Brom travel to Selhurst Park in Week 33 Premier League action.

McManaman hasn't contributed much since his arrival from Wigan in January having missed significant time due to injuries. He has now recovered from a foot injury that seemed to drag on and on and is fit for action. It seems unlikely that he will be thrust right back into the starting line-up but with West Brom playing poorly, anything is possible as Tony Pulis looks to shake things up. Still, fantasy managers should view McManaman as a tertiary option at best.

Tony Pulis has elected to give winger Callum McManaman who has an injured foot for a few weeks that should encompass match weeks 29 through at least Week 32.

Tony Pulis' attackers are coming apart at the seams. Victor Anichebe is out. Brown Ideye and Saido Berahino are both playing hurt. Now comes news that Callum McManaman is nursing a foot injury and will be rested for a couple of weeks. Berahino and Ideye are likely to start and will probably be joined by two of Stephane Sessegnon, Chris Brunt and James Morrison in front of Craig Gardner and Darren Fletcher.

Callum McManaman has had a quiet beginning to his career with West Bromwich Albion which has seen his fantasy price drop to a very attractive level.

McManaman wasn't a headline-grabbing transfer during January's window, but it is clear he is vital to Tony Pulis' plans, as the skipper inserted his new signing straight into the Baggie XI and the wide man popped up with an assist over the weekend. With the way they have been defending the past two games, West Brom will hope to have their scoring touch when they host Swansea on Thursday. At 2.77m, he is vastly under-priced and could be a player worth stashing beyond this week.

Tony Pulis indicated that Callum Mcmanaman will go straight into the squad for Week 23.

Pulis is hoping McManaman will provide a wide attacking presence that has been mostly missing for Albion this season. Fantasy managers will have to worry about the possibility that McManaman will start on the bench but given that he is in form there is every reason to expect that he will get his first start.

Tony Pulis has confirmed to the team's official web site that the Baggies have acquired Wigan FA Cup hero Callum McManaman for an undisclosed fee.

Pulis was promised funds to put his stamp on the Baggies when he signed and bringing in dynamic attackers for the wide areas is clearly one of his priorities. With a solid, Pulis-like back line already in place and Saido Berahino scoring goals centrally, Callum McManaman will get a chance to boost the Baggies attack in support of Berahino and Victor Anichebe.

Late season star Callum McManaman has been linked with a move to Everton following his former boss Roberto Martinez being installed as the Toffees' new manager.

McManaman had a great run to close the season at Wigan and captured the attention of a lot of clubs looking for a winger/forward. With Nikica Jelavic having failed to replicate his form from the second half of the 2011-12 season, Everton could use another attacking option. This need will increase further if Kevin Mirallas or Marouane Fellaini follow David Moyes out of Goodison.
