According to the club website, Everton manager Roberto Martinez is expected to stick with Joel Robles in goal when the club faces Aston Villa on Tuesday.
Robles has started the last three Premier League matches, securing two clean sheets, while Tim Howard recovered from injury. With Howard back, Martinez has a tough decision on his hands: "Tim Howard has been training really well and he’s been a fantastic influence on Joel Robles. Two number ones is exactly what we wanted, we know we’ve got two goalkeepers who can play. At the moment Joel has been starting in goal, but I don’t place too much importance on that." However the Everton website stated that Robles is expected to start over Howard against Villa, which represents a good chance for fantasy managers to pick up clean-sheet points. However, the risk of not knowing for sure who will start presents a judgment call on the part of the user. Feb 29 - 10:13 AM

Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles is likely to start on Sunday against Newcastle due to the injury to American goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Everton are playing at St James' Park so the matchup is not ideal for a goalkeeper, but Everton aren't likely to get destroyed and at £ 2.33M, Robles is a decent enough option to allow you to spend extra elsewhere. Everton's New Year's Day game is also away from home so Robles isn't likely to have a premium matchup anytime soon. Use with caution.

Everton have continued to buy Roberto Martinez's former Wigan charges with the acquisition of goalkeeper Joel Robles.

Robles now joins Arouna Kone and Antolin Alcaraz as former Wigan players purchased by Everton this week and it is only Tuesday. With Jan Mucha gone and Tim Howard aging it makes sense for Everton to acquire a young back-up with the potential to take the #1 shirt in the next couple of seasons. Robles looked solid in limited action for Wigan last season but Martinez's continued acquisition of players who were relegated with him last season would worry me if I were an Everton supporter.
