Norwich City manager Alex Neil confirmed Andre Wisdom will be fit to face Southampton after missing the last three matches due to a hamstring injury.
Wisdom has missed the last three Premier League matches with the injury after starting the previous five matches at right-back. But Wisdom will face a fight to regain his spot with Ryan Bennett and Russell Martin starting and coming off a clean sheet over the weekend against Aston Villa. With the exception of Matt Jarvis, who is set to return soon from a knee injury, Neil said the club is returning to full health: "All of the lads came through the Aston Villa match relatively fine and did some training this morning, so they're all ready for the game." Norwich City manager Alex Neil said he is hoping to have Andre Wisdom available for the weekend as the defender recovers from a hamstring injury.

Wisdom missed last weekend's win against Manchester United as Ryan Bennett and Russell Martin filled in along the back-line. Even if Wisdom is fit to make the squad, it's unlikely he'll displace the duo in defense on Saturday. Said Neil: "It will be a last minute decision with Andre as he's not fully fit." The manager also said he expects to rotate the squad in order to keep the players fresh with three games in the upcoming week of action, starting with the Boxing Day meeting away at Tottenham.

Norwich City will be without Andre Wisdom for the club's Week 17 trip to Manchester United due to a hamstring injury after failing to recover from injury in time for the weekend.

The on-loan Liverpool defender has started the last five Premier League matches at right-back before succumbing to injury last weekend in the 1-1 draw with Everton. Wisdom was replaced at half-time by Ryan Bennett, who is expecting to start in Wisdom's place after being forced out of the starting lineup last week by Russell Martin. Manager Alex Neil also confirmed that Wes Hoolahan has returned to training after picking up a knock against Everton and should be available to face Manchester United.

Alex Neil is likely to make at one least ahead of his sides’ trip to Old Trafford as Andre Wisdom struggles to overcome the hamstring injury which forced him off at half-time last weekend.

Wisdom was given a torrid time by Arouna Kone during an opening forty-five at Carrow Road which was dominated by Everton. However, the Canaries were much improved during the second half as Wes Hoolahan bundled over Ryan Bennett’s header to grab an early equaliser while Cameron Jerome failed to convert one of several glorious chances to take the win. The introduction of Bennett at the break appeared to solidify the Norwich defence as Russell Martin moved across onto the right. A set-up which Alex Neil may favour again this weekend as his side go in search of their first Premier league win since the beginning of November.

Andre Wisdom will miss out this weekend as the unfortunate full-back is unable to face his parent club.

Wisdom was a stand-out performer on his first PL start for Norwich - during the win over AFC Bournemouth - but the full-back will now have to settle for a place on the sidelines once again. Wisdom is ineligible under the terms of his loan agreement and his absence will hand the returning Steven Whittaker with the chance of a quick return. An ankle injury will also keep Gary Hooper out of GW6 but Lewis Grabban does come into contention after training for the "last couple of days." No fresh injury concerns for Norwich who are still without Youssouf Mulumbu.

Andre Wisdom has joined Norwich on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Wisdom recently signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool but the club have decided to send him on loan to Norwich so he can gain valuable Premier League experience. Liverpool see Wisdom as part of their future but have put an emphasis on getting him experience at age 22. Wisdom has 24 appearances at West Brom last season and will look to improve on that number at Norwich.

Norwich are on the verge of securing their second signing of the summer after agreeing a season-long loan move for Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom…

Just like London buses, you wait for ages for one and then two come along all at once… After the protracted Robbie Brady transfer from Hull was finally completed, Norwich fans have been treated with a follow up just a few days later. Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom will spend next on loan at Carrow Road, adding center-back and right back options to Norwich boss Alex Neil. It is perhaps Wisdom’s versatility/ failure to nail down one position (choose one) that has slowed his progress at Liverpool. Despite a successful spell on loan at West Brom last season and a new four-year deal in the summer, Wisdom is still not part of Brendan Rodgers plans.

Andre Wisdom committed his future to Liverpool by signing a long-term contract with the club.

Liverpool's announcement on their official site does not mention the length of the deal but if it is labeled as "long term", it would be safe to assume that Wisdom should be locked up for at least three years, carrying him until the summer of 2018. Wisdom made twenty-two appearances as a loanee with West Brom this past season. Depending on player movement in the summer window, Wisdom could be in for another loan spell if he cannot earn proper playing time with his parent club.

Andre Wisdom has seen some playing time recently but that trend will not continue in Week 34 as he is ineligible to face parent club Liverpool due to the terms of his loan.

Andre Wisdom has deputized in the West Brom starting eleven in recent weeks due to injuries and suspensions to the regular starting group. With Craig Dawson not at full health, Wisdom would have had at least a chance of starting again but he will have to wait until next weekend given the terms of his loan agreement. West Brom and Liverpool have both been unpredictable in recent weeks so guessing at an outcome and valuing West Brom defenders for fantasy purposes isn't an easy task. There are certainly better options available than hoping that the Baggies don't revert to the group that allowed 10 goals over three matches before last weekend.

West Brom have continued their roster overhaul with the loan signing of young Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom.

West Brom continue to add numbers and versatility to their defensive corps with the signing of England U21 defender Andre Wisdom. At the fringes of the Liverpool squad for a few years and coming off a year-long loan with Derby County in the Championship last season, a step up to the bottom half of the Premier League makes sense for the player and both clubs. With Gareth McAuley returning, Joleon Lescott, Chris Baird and Sebastien Pocognoli already added, and Costa Rican right back Christian Gamboa reportedly on his way as well, it isn't clear that Wisdom will be a starter. The real question is whether he will win out over Baird as the primary reserve at center back and right back for the Baggies. Wisdom's one hope for starting action is that Gamboa's attacking strengths are utilized farther up the field.

20-year old defender Andre Wisdom has joined Derby County on a youth, or short-term, loan deal.

Wisdom has made sporadic forays into the Liverpool first team, but his development will be helped by regular action in the Championship. Liverpool are getting healthy at the back again, and their new 3-back system makes Wisdom surplus to requirements at the moment.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers would like to send defender Andre Wisdom out on loan, but needs to buy cover at center back before that is possible.

Wisdom is probably third-choice at Anfield behind Daniel Agger and Kolo Toure, with Sebastian Coates injured and Martin Skrtel out of favour, and likely to be moved before the transfer window closes. The young defender needs games to improve, but won't get the opportunity unless Liverpool can buy a new center back.

Fulham, looking for defensive cover after shedding a number of veterans this summer, have inquired about taking Liverpool's Andre Wisdom on loan for the season.

Andre Wisdom is the sort of versatile defender - he can play center back or right back - who would make a very nice reserve for a mid-table team like Fulham in return for the promise of more playing time. With Liverpool theoretically getting healthier at the back and strengthening as well in an effort to secure a Champions League spot Wisdom is unlikely to get much playing time at Anfield. This would be a good deal for all parties if Liverpool adds some veteran defenders and the moves come through.
