Jordan Ibe has "immense potential" according to his manager Eddie Howe, but the winger needs to be consistent if he's going to reach it.
Ahead of his side's Carabao Cup third round clash with Brighton, Eddie Howe expressed his delight to the media about Ibe's intervention off the bench at the weekend: "This time, you actually had some end product to [Ibe's performance], which was the pleasing thing. It was great to see him come on and have that impact at a time when we really needed it. He was there to ignite the spark we needed." however, the caveat in that statement was clear. Ibe has all the tools at his disposal to be a main man for Bournemouth but he has yet to show it often enough. Ibe, who signed from Liverpool for £15 million in the summer of 2016 had a poor first season with the Cherries, losing his place in the first team having began as a starter. He admitted in the summer he needs to "buck up [his] ideas" in order to get minutes. Howe added that he has been impressed by Ibe's focus and maturity so far this season. Jordan Ibe's goal was all that separated Bournemouth and QPR at Loftus Road in the Cherries' first game of the weekend on Saturday.

Bournemouth started well on the day, and should arguably have taken the lead within a minute of the kick-off. Lys Mousset craftily dummied a cross by Max Gradel which gave Josh King space to unleash a shot. His effort cannoned off the crossbar. Gradel saw a shot blocked, Ibe ruined a fantastic through ball from Lewis Cook by missing the target with a side-foot and Mousset's acrobatics failed to test QPR's 'keeper before Ibe smashed home an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner. King had a chance in the second half but was tackled before he made an attempt to shoot. He was soon replaced after suffering a knock. Mousset and Gradel both squandered later chances as Bournemouth clung on for victory in spite of a late scare from their opponents who hit the upright from a set-piece.

Bournemouth beat Portuguese side Estoril 2-1 to end their pre-season camp in Marbella with a smile.

Eddie Howe deployed 23 players in the tie in a bid to help his players move towards match fitness ahead of the new season. In the first-half, the Cherries failed to grasp the game by the neck with a team that featured new signings Nathan Ake and Connor Mahoney. Interestingly, Ryan Fraser was also played but as a stand-in right-back. Boruc in goal also made a few saves. Ten minutes into the second period, a whole new Bournemouth team broke the deadlock. Max Gradel played in Jordan Ibe, who ran clear and slotted home with the outside of his right foot. After Estoril drew level, Sam Surridge came on for Josh King, who is rehabilitating an injury. Surridge set up Gradel so that he could grab Bournemouth's second on the night.

21 year old Bournemouth winger Jordan Ibe is available for selection again ahead of the Cherries' clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Former Liverpool man, Ibe, has been in and out of Eddie Howe's starting line-up in recent weeks, but he was not in the squad for last weekend's game away to West Brom. On Ibe's condition, his manager noted: "Jordon Ibe will be available for selection. He had a knee problem but has come through training fine."

AFCB Bournemouth have successfully captured winger Jordan Ibe from Liverpool for a transfer fee of £15m.

A young club being run by a young, talented manager just got even younger today with the acquisition of the 20-year-old Ibe. Eddie Howe must see serious potential in the kid, as the stats would indicate Ibe may not be a reliable source of offense that would warrant such a steep price tag. In 41 appearances for Liverpool, Ibe managed to score just a single goal. However, he does possess strong tools outside of his goal rate. He is a very pacy winger and shows good control when on the ball. If he can take that next step, he could be a star in the league. The combination of Ibe and Max Gradel on opposite flanks and Callum Wilson spearheading the attack could be a nice mix for the Cherries. Maybe Ibe can breakout this season with his new club from a fantasy standpoint, but his name recognition will likely see a manager take him too early in drafts.

AFC Bournemouth have received acceptance from Liverpool on a £15m bid for winger Jordan Ibe.

Only a week into the summer transfer window, the Cherries have been awfully busy. After selling Matt Ritchie to Newcastle United for £12m, they are looking at an immediate replacement for £3m more. Ibe, 20-years-old, put on some impressive displays last season with the Reds, though he only managed to score once in 27 appearances during league play. It seems a steep price for a winger with that goal rate but obviously Eddie Howe rates Ibe highly. It is good business for Liverpool, as the addition of Sadio Mane would have only made Ibe's chances of seeing pitch time marginalized. For the Cherries, it gives them a ton of speed in the wide attacking positions, assuming Ibe lines up opposite Max Gradel. With the certain uptick in playing time, Ibe is carrying fantasy value into the coming season.

Liverpool found an equalizer to earn a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion, finishing their season eighth in the Premier League table.

In a side with eleven changes from the one that saw the Reds draw with Chelsea in midweek, Jurgen Klopp was able to give plenty of fringe players another chance to impress while the core unit was rested ahead of this coming week's Europa League final. After conceding an early goal, Liverpool did not take long to level the score. In a brilliant individual effort, Jordon Ibe took a Jon Flanagan pass on the right and cut his way into the area, striking into the bottom corner to score his first league goal for the Reds. Liverpool dominated possession and chances from that point on but neither side would find a winning goal. On a very positive note, Danny Ings made an appearance from the bench with half an hour to go, marking his comeback after spending nearly the entire season recovering from a major knee injury.

Though several key players will be absent for Liverpool in their tough matchup with Arsenal on Wednesday evening, Jurgen Klopp indicated that James Milner and Jordan Ibe are in good shape to return.

Despite a myriad of injuries for the Reds at the moment, they could name a somewhat passable XI on Wednesday, assuming Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho's inclusion can be viewed as "passable". One of Milner or Ibe could be deployed on the right of the attacking trident, alongside Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino, with the other used as a substitute to shorten the shift of the starter. Odds are Milner will start, play about an hour, and be replaced with Ibe. In any case, the Reds are not looking attractive for fantasy investment this week.

Jordon Ibe will not be involved in Friday nights’ game at Exeter City after complaining of hamstring discomfort during the build-up to the FA Cup tie.

Remarkably Ibe becomes the seventh Liverpool player to be sidelined because of a hamstring related issue and the fourth from Tuesdays’ Capital One Cup win over Stoke City. During his pre-match press conference Jürgen Klopp was able to provide an update on his recent injury absentees: "Coutinho is a bit more serious than Lovren, (who is) more serious than Toure. None of these players will be available for tomorrow. Kolo was a cramp, that's not a problem, but after three days it's not possible to play the next game. But, for sure, next week should not be a problem. With Dejan the situation is I think he will be available after Manchester United. And Phil needs maybe one, two weeks longer, so three weeks [out] for Phil."

Jordan Ibe is not included in the squad for Liverpool's Europa League tie with FC Sion, being rested along with Alberto Moreno, Joe Allen and Lucas.

The Reds were kept out by Newcastle United over the weekend, but Ibe offered the most threat in that match as he continues to develop. He was preferred to Adam Lallana in that match and could challenge Roberto Firmino for a starting role once Philippe Coutinho returns. Ibe just celebrated his 20th birthday and is injury flagged with an illness, but is expected to be available for selection this weekend against West Brom. With a spot in the elimination round secure in the Europa competition, now is a good time for Alberto Moreno to get a breather, as he has played virtually every minute since Joe Gomez was lost to injury.

Following the news that Mamadou Sakho will miss around 2-months, Liverpool have at least be boosted by test results which revealed Jordon Ibe should be available for the trip to Man City in game week thirteen.

Ibe is expected to withdraw from the upcoming England under-21 games against Bosnia and Switzerland but the winger won’t be side-lined for too long after a scan confirmed the 19-year-old had only suffered a bruised knee during Sundays’ defeat to Crystal Palace. Ibe was rewarded for his man-of-the-match Europa League performance in Rubin Kazan with only his third Premier League start of the campaign, but the youngster was helpless to prevent Liverpool from losing for the first time under Jurgen Klopp. England U-21 boss Gareth Southgate will also be without Joe Gomez [injured] and Eric Dier [senior squad] for the Euro qualifying matches.

Jordan Ibe has dazzled enough so far this summer that Brendan Rodgers has now gone on record to state that the winger will feature heavily in the first team this coming season.

Bargain alert in the early weeks for fantasy managers as Ibe could pay real dividends for investors as their low-end midfielder. Priced at just 5.0 in the FPL game, he is worth a shot if only for the first four weeks. After that comes the international break and the closing of the transfer window when managers can assess his value going forward. Could he be the next Sterling for the Reds?

Jordon Ibe impressed with a phenomenal goal but Liverpool were otherwise kept in check with Malaysia XI as the two sides played to a 1-1 final.

Ibe has to be working his way into Brendan Rodgers' thinking as the season approaches, he has been superb so far in preseason and his goal today was certainly of the caliber and class that deserves its place in the top flight. Malaysia scored the opener with a real hustle goal, but it was Ibe who responded near the half hour mark. Working near the area on the right flank, he worked his way in for what looked like a potential cross, but instead made the split second decision to strike with the opening given, and he blasted a cannon into the top shelf. He is only 5.0m in the FPL game and makes for a fine speculative pick in the later rounds of drafts. He will have one more chance in preseason to stake a claim when the Reds travel to Helsinki August 1.

Jordon Ibe is not fit enough to represent England at the prestigious under-20s tournament in Toulon after the winger was ordered to rest following a persistent knee complaint.

Ibe had surgery after damaging his lateral collateral knee ligament while on Europa League duty in Turkey for Liverpool back in February. Despite early reports suggesting his season was over Ibe did return ahead of schedule although his involvement has been sporadic since April having failed to complete 90 minutes. This latest decision was taken to ensure Ibe will be fully fit and ready for pre-season as Rodgers’ aims to forget a disappointing end to this campaign. With Steven Gerrard moving to LA Galaxy and Daniel Sturridge out until October - in the first instance - Rodgers' will need all hands on deck at the beginning of the new campaign.

Jordon Ibe is hoping to be available for first team selection well ahead of schedule following a return to light training less than a month after knee surgery.

Ibe strained his lateral collateral ligament during a Europa League tie in Turkey and despite Brendan Rodgers initially confirming 3/4 weeks further tests revealed the damage was far worse than originally feared with his surgeon advising a realistic time-frame of up-to 3 months. However it now looks like Jordon Ibe could return in GW32 for the visit of Newcastle to provide the Reds with a welcome boost. Having impressed during his loan spell at Derby earlier this season Ibe arrived at Anfield in great form and made his first league start during the Merseyside derby draw at Goodison in February. Long-term Ibe could go head-to-head with Markovic for a place on the right in a 3-4-3 and this emerging talent will almost certainly see Javier Manquillo return to the La Liga following his loan move from Atletico Madrid.
