Calum Chambers treated supporters and fantasy managers to a strong performance against Sunderland after missing the Hull City match through suspension.
It always boosts the fantasy fortunes of defenders when the team keeps a clean sheet but Calum Chambers piled a strong weekend of work on top of his clean sheet points in Week 9 against Sunderland. The 19-year-old defender intercepted four passes, won two tackles, and registered a shot on target. With the defensive crisis well under way at the Emirates, Arsene Wenger will continue to rely on Chambers and will hope for more of what he saw against Sunderland. Oct 28 - 3:08 PM

Calum Chambers will miss the Hull City match through accumulation of yellow cards, he will return for Week 9 at the Stadium of Light.

Arsenal's defensive crisis continues as deputy right back, center back, and holding midfielder Calum Chambers will miss out on the Week 8 match against Hull City due to an accumulation of yellow cards. With Mathieu Debuchy a long term absentee and Laurent Koscielny out for Week 8 with an Achilles injury Arsene Wenger is likely to field Bellerin, Mertesacker, Monreal and Gibbs across the back with very little in the way of reserves.

Adam Lallana praised Calum Chambers for his fantastic performance in England's win over San Marino earlier this week.

Chambers made his England senior debut against San Marino and helped the team to a clean sheet and a win. Adam Lallana has praised the Arsenal defender as being "magnificent". Chambers has had a strong start to the season for Arsenal, filling in for a number of injured players and earning five starts and two appearances off the bench. As long as he is getting playing time, he should continue being a solid fantasy option.

Calum Chambers joined his Arsenal defensive colleagues in providing strong fantasy results in Week 5 despite a yellow card.

In his first week starting in place of the injured Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers had an OK match in real life but a very solid one for fantasy managers. He picked up a yellow card (and could have seen a second yellow, honestly) but otherwise stuffed the stat sheet with a bunch of good things at both ends of the pitch. Five interceptions and three tackles combined with a successful cross and a corner won provide a platform for future fantasy goodness as Chambers continues to get starting assignments.

Calum Chambers has played in two official matches plus the Community Shield and has looked very much the part of a strong buy.

Still a few months short of his 20th birthday, Calum Chambers has looked every bit the rising star that Arsenal paid Southampton for. Per Mertesacker's extended summer break has given the versatile Chambers a chance to start earlier than expected in his Arsenal career. So far the evidence is strong that this is a good buy even if he gets fewer minutes as the season goes on.

Calum Chambers looked very much the part deputizing for Per Mertesacker in Arsenal's 3-0 Community Shield win over Manchester City.

The Southampton product was solid partnering Laurent Koscielny and then Nacho Monreal in the center of defense as Arsenal cruised to victory over last season's champions. Chambers' strong performance against solid competition is important after Arsenal's two main deputy center backs from last season - Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna - both left the club over the summer. With Per Mertesacker still recovering from his World Cup exploits there is a solid chance Chambers starts at CB in Week 1 for the Gunners.

Calum Chambers is officially an Arsenal player according to the club's Twitter feed. He joins Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, and David Ospina as confirmed new arrivals at the club.

Mesut Ozil's late capture last summer may have been the initial statement of intent but Arsenal have come out of the gates early and with intent in this summer's transfer window. Most supporters and pundits listed their needs as a forward, right back, reserve goalkeeper, defensive cover and holding midfielder to start the summer. With three weeks left before the season kicks off and five weeks remaining in the summer transfer period the club has addressed four of the five needs in style. Calum Chambers represents both defensive depth and versatility with a CV that resembles Phil Jones with the ability to play right back, center back and holding midfield. It is unlikely that the Southampton product will feature regularly this season but he will likely be groomed behind Debuchy and the Koscielny/Mertesacker pairing for a season or two before getting his chance to start.

This one has been simmering for a month but reports on BBC.com and elsewhere have Calum Chambers completing a medical with Arsenal and agreeing to personal terms in advance of finalizing a move to the Emirates for £12Million.

Able to play center back and right back, the 19-year-old will likely provide cover for newly signed Mathieu Debuchy and potentially allow Arsene Wenger to sell Thomas Vermaelen to Manchester United or Barcelona. Chambers represents much-needed depth and youth in defense. Debuchy is already 28 so it may not be long until Chambers is challenging for the starting right back role.

Arsenal are rumored to be leading Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea for the signature of Southampton right back Calum Chambers.

Arsenal have been linked to almost as many right backs this summer as Liverpool have left backs. In the 19-year old Calum Chambers, they could have their solution at that position for years to come if he lives up to expectations. Whether Wenger is willing to leave a starting position in the relatively inexperienced hands of Chambers and Carl Jenkinson in a season when they hope to be challenging for a title is another question. It seems more likely that Arsenal would go for a slightly more accomplished but still relatively young player like Serge Aurier who has been frequently linked to the club.

Calum Chambers is back at training after dealing with a dead leg in Saints' last game.

Chambers has been getting some first team runs ahead of Nathaniel Clyne and the situation is certainly one to follow. Chambers should be good to go for Saturday but I would be afraid to use him in fantasy because of the uncertainty in who starts for the Saints.
