Adnan Januzaj has ended speculation by committing his international playing future to Belgium. It remains to be seen if he will make the Belgian team for Brazil 2014.
A man without a country, or with many countries depending on how you look at it, Adnan Januzaj has decided to play his international football for Belgium. The young midfielder has had moments of brilliance for Manchester United this season and the general consensus is that he has a very bright future in front of him. What is less clear is whether that future includes a trip to Brazil with the Belgian team this summer. The team is loaded with talent and Januzaj has angered some in Belgium with his previous responses to offers to play for the team. There is also the fact that Januzaj has played a modest amount of first team football this season despite Manchester United's struggles. This will be an interesting one to watch in the build-up to the World Cup. Apr 30 - 12:38 PM

The arrival of Juan Mata has apparently relegated promising young midfielder Adnan Januzaj to the bench.

Adnan Januzaj has been one of Manchester United's better attacking players over the past two months but the arrival of Juan Mata has apparently pushed him down to a reserve role. With only a mop-up role against Cardiff in mid-week and nothing on Saturday, Januzaj will be wondering whether he will have a significant role over the balance of the season. It is shocking that Moyes has seen fit to start Ashley Young over Januzaj based on the evidence seen thus far in 2013-14. Young did score against Cardiff but overall, his performances have been mediocre-at-best.

Adnan Januzaj has been one of the few bright spots for Manchester United but for fantasy managers, he's still just off the pace.

Other than Week 7 when he scored a brace for the Red Devils, Adnan Januzaj has been more hype than results for fantasy managers. His Week 17 performance was the perfect example of how he is falling short while still showing great promise. Januzaj scored the match winner but did virtually nothing else that leads to positive fantasy points. His goal came on his only shot on target and on top of doing little else positive, he was shown a yellow card for a pointless dive nearer to midfield than anywhere the resulting free kick could have done exceptional damage. Januzaj is certainly a young talent who has the potential to be a star but for now, he is definitely in the second or third tier of fantasy midfielders rather than the top tier.

18-year old Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj hopes to play his entire career at Old Trafford.

In a recent interview with Manchester United TV online, youngster Adnan Januzaj had this to say - "If I could play all my life at Manchester United I would do it for the club." Adnan signed a 5-year contract with United back in October that will keep him with the Red Devils until 2018. He's appeared in nine of the teams' 12 games since Week 3 and has two goals and two assists to his credit already.

Adnan Januzaj started for Manchester United in the League Cup on Tuesday and played 90+ minutes putting into question his starting spot in the league on Saturday.

David Moyes' line-up selection and rotation policies have been mystifying since his arrival at Manchester United. Whether it has been the frequent starting of Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand or the lack of playing time for Wilfried Zaha while other United wingers struggle, the logic isn't clear. Januzaj was a difference-maker against Stoke after his introduction but after his start in the League Cup one wonders if he'll be tapped against Fulham. As you look at your fantasy options, there is certainly risk in this selection.

The Januzaj rocket ship to superstardom may not have continued with more goals against Southampton but his pass to unlock the Saints led to United's opener.

It won't show up anywhere on the score sheet but Adnan Januzaj contributed to United's first goal with a beautiful pass to put Wayne Rooney in on Artur Boruc. Boruc made a strong save on Rooney only to see Robin van Persie collect the rebound and slot it home. The young midfielder followed up his exceptional pass with a solid shot on target in the second half. On the strength of his two performances so far it seems probable that he will continue to start and be an above average fantasy option in the weeks to come.

If Adnan Januzaj doesn't start against Southampton it certainly won't be because of his performance against Sunderland but David Moyes was mum on the topic on Friday.

The subject of a fierce recruiting battle among the variety of countries that he could represent internationally, the Belgian-born midfielder was spectacular against Sunderland before the break. Despite that performance, and the overwhelming mediocrity from the rest of United's midfield thus far under Moyes, there has been no confirmation that the midfielder will get a second consecutive start. If you picked him up cheap after his brace and want to start him, be sure you have a bench player who will get you some points if Januzaj doesn't feature.

18 year-old Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj celebrated his first start in the Premier League with a brace against Sunderland.

The young midfielder was a revelation for Manchester United at the Stadium of Light. After a brutal early-season stretch United needed a spark and a win and Januzaj provided both. Not only did he score but he looked like the best player on the pitch for stretches of the match. With nearly every other United midfielder struggling this season, this performance should buy Januzaj a significant role.
