Garry Monk has been sacked at the Liberty Stadium and former Swans manager, recently fired by Liverpool himself, is the heavy favorite to return to Wales.
Rodgers was successful enough at Swansea that he nabbed himself the Liverpool job. While he never seemed quite up to the task at Anfield once Luis Suarez took his talents to Barcelona, a return to the Liberty Stadium is likely the perfect situation to retrench and start restoring his managerial reputation. The Swans have talent and should be poised to start moving back up the table now that whatever Monk-related malaise there was has been removed from the situation. Wed, Dec 9, 2015 11:49:00 AM

Jurgen Klopp has introduced his folksy brand of management to Liverpool with the declaration that he is "The Normal One" in separating himself from big managerial names like Jose Mourinho.

It was as perfect an introduction as Liverpool supporters could have hoped for. Klopp embraced the current squad saying that he will find a way to win with the talented players on hand. Calling himself a football romantic he referenced how special a place Anfield is and how special Liverpool is as a club. He embraced the passion of Liverpool supporters and promised an attractive brand of football filled with passion. Whether Klopp actually performs significantly better than Brendan Rodgers remains to be seen but he certainly hit all of the high notes in ingratiating himself to supporters and the media.

The strong rumors of an impending dismissal of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers came to fruition shortly following the Reds' draw against Everton today.

The common perception heading into the weekend's derby was that only an outright win would keep Rodgers safe, and today's draw made good on that belief as his tenure ends after managing the club for three years and change. With big names like Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti looking for a new club to manage, it is likely one will take over in the very near future. Rodgers was given plenty of criticism for his tactical decisions in the last two years and many of the big name signings that he led the charge in bringing to Anfield have been major disappointments. Considering his previous success at Swansea though, he will likely get another chance in the top flight in the next year. Perhaps Sunderland may want to give him a call now that they have a fresh vacancy.
