The FA have released a statement via Twitter that they are charging Cardiff veteran Craig Bellamy with violent conduct they feel he committed in the Bluebirds loss to Swansea City over the weekend.

The incident occurred when Bellamy apparently struck Swansea's Jonathan de Guzman in Saturday's south Wales derby in the second half. Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not feel the possible three match ban will come to fruition, and with a reply not needed until an hour or so before their next league match on Tuesday, Bellamy will in all likelihood appeal, and not miss his next match regardless of guilt or innocence.

Craig Bellamy ended the longest goalless drought of his superb career with his first goal of the season, as Cardiff City would come from behind with two quick second half goals to defeat Norwich City 2-1.

New signing Kenwyne Jones scored the winner for the Bluebirds on a day where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got a positive result from an overhauled squad fighting to avoid relegation. The mood at Cardiff City Stadium was quickly darkened when Norwich took a lead after 5 minutes, but the place went bonkers after Bellamy and Jones netted within the space of two minutes. Fabio also made his debut and Wilfried Zaha assisted Bellamy's goal as the Bluebirds inch above Fulham in the table.

Craig Bellamy was left out of Cardiff City's squad for their trip to Anfield because of a knee issue and looks to be sidelined until after the New Year.

The veteran Bellamy has had several procedures on his injured knee during the course of his career and seems to be nagging him yet again. He was brought in by Malky Mackay to help Cardiff City achieve promotion last season but maintaining fitness will be a constant struggle for the twilight of his career. Bellamy has not made a league start since November but hopes to return to action after the New Year.

Malky Mackay indicated that Craig Bellamy is fit and is traveling with the club to London as the manager has plans to feature the veteran.

Bellamy was thought to be available for the midweek game with Stoke City but he had a setback with a hamstring injury. Bellamy only has an assist to his name in nine appearances and would occupy one of the three coveted forward positions. Look elsewhere despite a decent matchup.

Craig Bellamy was rested against Manchester United and Arsenal, but will come back into contention for a start, said manager Malky Mackay.

Cardiff have been playing well, despite earning just one point from the last two matches. Bellamy's return will add a little bit of aggression that they might need against a gritty (as always) Stoke City.

Craig Bellamy will be back in Cardiff's squad for their match against Norwich City.

Bellamy, a former Norwich trainee, was rested for Cardiff's match against Chelsea after playing for Wales over the last international break. Both sides are struggling at the wrong-end of the Premier League table.

The 6'4 Oscar Cardozo has an exceptional track record for Benfica (106 goals in 160) matches. He'd be a great get if this one happens.

Cardozo has now past his 30th birthday meaning that the purpose of buying him is purely staying in the Premier League. He would not likely be interested in a season in the Championship nor is he likely to have significant sell-on value. Still, for a team that didn't have anyone over 10 goals in the Championship last season, bringing in a proven top-division (even if it is Portugal's top division) forward would be a big plus.
