Hull City are reportedly in line to fill the vacant right-back slot in their team after Ahmed Elmohamady left for the AFCON.
The player set to arrive on loan is Olympiakos right-back Omar Elabdellaoui. The deal is structured with a view to the loan until the season's end becoming permanent. Reports suggest that the agreement will be concluded in time for the Norwegian international to take to the field against Premier League leaders Chelsea on Sunday. Elabdellaoui played in England for Man City previously, who he joined as a 16 year old. He was given a squad number and hyped to have a "big future", however he never featured for the first team. He will displace Maguire and Meyler, who have stood in at right-back in the absence of a natural in the position. Fantasy managers should not expect much in terms of goals from the 25 year old. Hull City have confirmed that Ahmed Elmohamady will leave the club to represent Egypt at the African Cup of Nations after the West Brom game on Monday.

This means that the defender will be available to face Everton in GW19 and West Brom at the Hawthorns in GW20. Elmohamady has occupied a right wing back role in the team this season, and has been a regular starter. David Meyler stood in in place of the Egyptian when he was suspended for the Chelsea match in October, the only game Elmohamady missed. It's likely that Hull will look to find cover in the RB/RM slot in the January transfer window.

Ahmed Elmohamady was sent-off during the first half at Anfield on Saturday.

Elmohamady blocked Phillip Coutinho's goal-bound effort on the goal line, leaving referee Andre Marriner with no option but to send him off and award the Reds a penalty. James Milner converted to score his club's second of the day. Because the offence carries a mandatory one game ban, Elmohamady will miss Hull's next game, which is at home to Chelsea on October 1st.

Ahmed Elmohamady continued his strong fantasy production with an assist on Hull City's lone goal against Arsenal in the 3-1 loss at the KC Stadium.

After 17 fantasy points last week we wrote about the surprise that Ahmed Elmohamady is Hull City's leader in fantasy points this season. He didn't disappoint in Week 35 with an assist, three successful crosses and a tackle won. It wasn't a transcendent performance by any stretch of the imagination but when looking for players in single ownership formats heading into next season (assuming Hull City stays up) Elmohamady isn't a bad value play, even more so if he's listed flexibly as both a defender and a midfielder.

Ahmed Elmohamady leads all Hull City players in fantasy points for the season and it isn't really close.

His isn't a high profile name, but Ahmed Elmohamady has out-produced his Hull City teammates in fantasy terms (Yahoo scoring system) with his total being more than 30% higher than the next closest competitor. Only Manchester City (Sergio Aguero) and QPR (Charlie Austin) have larger gaps between their biggest fantasy scorers and their next best with Chelsea having a similar gap between first (Hazard) and second (Costa). Not exactly the company that you'd expect to find Mohamady in, is it?

Ahmed Elmohamady contributed across the board to Hull City's Week 14 draw at Goodison Park.

There wasn't a ton to love from a fantasy point of view outside of Sone Aluko's goal and even that was probably not terribly useful because he came in off the bench to score. One bright spot in the match was Ahmed Elmohamady's combination of three passes intercepted, three tackles won, two successful crosses and a corner won. It made for a solid 11 point outing in the Yahoo scoring system, the only HCFC starter to make it to double digits.

Ahmed Elmohamady returned an assist and a strong overall performance for the second straight week in Hull City's Week 5 draw with Newcastle.

It is a shame for fantasy managers that most fantasy formats list Ahmed Elmohamady as a midfielder because he is typically playing as a right back these days but still getting forward and getting attacking points. Hull City aren't keeping many clean sheets so the mis-classification isn't likely hurting his value too much but after two straight weeks with an assist and a double-digit Yahoo format in Week 5 he would be a great buy as a defender. As it stands he's a solid buy against mediocre competition as a midfielder.

Ahmed Elmohamady scored Hull City's first goal and assisted on Sone Aluko's winner to see Hull City one step closer to the Europa Cup group stages.

Robbie Brady, returning from an illness that kept him out of the first leg, set up Elmohamady for a powerful header that drew Steve Bruce's men even after giving up an early goal to AS Trencin. Elmohamady then turned provider late when he headed a Robert Snodgrass ball toward Sone Aluko who drove it home from close range. The win means one home-and-home tie (opponent still to be decided) from the Europa Cup group stages. Heady stuff for a club that was promoted to the Premier League last season.

Ahmed Elmohamady's errant pass found white hot Peter Odemwingie just outside the box and the Stoke forward fired it home for the only goal of the day in Hull City's 1-0 loss to the Potters.

Overall it has been a strong season for Elmohamady but a lone mistake today cost his team a point. The trip to the Britannia Stadium is never an easy one for mid-table opposition and today proved no different as Stoke put up a defensive wall and even won the possession battle. Elmohamady's errant pass ended up at the feet of the wrong player, the in-form Peter Odemwingie, and that was the difference between the sides.

Ahmed Elmohamady, who had been having a strong season, was the weak link in two Hull City losses to Tottenham over the course of 4 days.

The midfielder was at fault in Hull City's 1-0 loss to Tottenham over the weekend as he committed the penalty that was the difference between a hard-fought point against a top half team and nothing. Adding to his woe in the League Cup, Elmohamady missed the decisive spot kick after extra time failed to decide the match. As a result, Spurs won the penalty shootout 8-7. The shootout also featured misses from Spurs' Erik Lamela and Hull City's Aaron Mclean.

Ahmed Elmohamady will be assessed before returning to the Hull City starting line-up after a long trip on Egypt duty over the international break.

Elmohamady has been a surprisingly productive fantasy player thus far this season. The trip to Goodison Park probably means that you weren't thinking about including Elmohamady but if you were this should probably push your decision in another direction.

Ahmed Elmohamady has made his loan from Sunderland to Hull City permanent. He will stay with the Tigers, and Steve Bruce, the manager who originally brought him to Sunderland.

Elmohamady scored 3 goals and assited 9 others from his right-wing role. He was voted Hull's Player of the Season, and it was important for them to retain his services heading into the Premier League season.
