Norwich City are edging closer to the relegation zone after allowing their five point table lead to Fulham dwindle down to two as the Cottagers handed the Canaries yet another road defeat, 1-0.
Norwich had opportunities aplenty but timely Fulham defending and a tough outing for Ricky van Wolfswinkel led to their demise. van Wolfswinkel was at the end of their best chance, firing a volley from point blank range, but Fulham keeper David Stockdale somehow blocked it in time. Later, on another good buildup, van Wolfswinkel had the ball in space out wide, just outside the box, and layed a pass off....to no one. van Wolfswinkel has been a huge disappointment for the Canaries this season, scoring only once, all the way back on opening day. They are two points above the relegation zone, but their final four opponents are Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Ouch. Apr 12 - 1:03 PM
