Jazz Richards has moved from the Liberty Stadium to Craven Cottage as Fulham look to strengthen for another run at promotion to the Premier League.
Richards has been a frequent loanee over the past three seasons having been in the Championship with Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town and then Fulham last season. During that time he has started only seven Premier League matches. With the player reaching 24-years-old, Swansea have clearly decided that his ceiling is as a Championship player and made a move to put the player in a position to succeed at that level permanently while freeing up a roster spot. Norwich City have enquired about Swansea right-back Jazz Richards who might be surplus to requirements at the Liberty…

The 24-year-old Richards looks to be third in the pecking order at Swansea, following the arrival of Kyle Naughton from Tottenham to challenge incumbent right-back Angel Rangel. The Welsh international spent a successful season on loan at Fulham and was outstanding for Wales in the recent win over Belgium. A performance that has put several PL clubs on alert, with Norwich leading the way. Steven Whittaker was almost ever present in the role last season but has no PL experience and Richards would provide much needed strength in depth for the new boys. At 6ft 1ins he can also fill-in at centre-back and finished the season in that role for Swansea. Richards has two years remaining on his contract so would command a fee, likely to be in the region of £2-3 million.

Jazz Richards looks to be nailed on for Swansea City but is listed as a midfielder in the Yahoo game despite being used as a full back.

Richards has started the previous two matches and costs below 5m in the Yahoo game but unfortunately will not give you any clean sheet points as a midfielder. He did however show he can be fantasy relevant as he grabbed an assist in the Swans' loss to Manchester City over the weekend. It may be a tall task to expect a clean sheet at Sehurst Park anyway as Crystal Palace have proven to be extremely difficult to stop from scoring.
