Jores Okore played a full match for Aston Villa's U21s.
Okore is returning from a knee injury and was expected to be back mid-October or November. We are now leaning on a mid-October return as he already played a full match with the youngsters. Okore looked fairly good in his appearances but he'll have a hard time cracking Aston Villa's rotation that's currently really deep at center-back. Sep 29 - 9:24 AM

Jores Okore is Aston Villa's only definite absentee as the club prepare for an away match at Bournemouth.

Okore is dealing with a knee injury and will miss tomorrow's match. He is expected to return sometime in September but it may be tough for him to regain a starting spot with Micah Richards and Ciaran Clark likely to lock down the two center-back positions at the club. Feel free to not draft him in any fantasy leagues.

Jores Okore will miss the Summer U21 European Championship with a knee injury.

A scan revealed some knee damage for Okore who will not be able to represent Denmark in the European Championships. Okore had a very promising season this year with Aston Villa after recovering from an ACL injury and has been the help Aston Villa need in defense. He has a promising future if he can stay healthy so Villa are certainly hoping the knee damage isn't serious. Check back for details soon.

Jores Okore is doubtful for GW31 with a knee problem.

Okore has been great for Aston Villa lately and would have been locked on as a starter had it not been for the knee injury. With him doubtful, Ron Vlaar has a chance at coming in to partner Ciaran Clark in the back. Aston Villa's defense has improved slightly under Tim Sherwood but Vlaar is not an option this week as Villa face a tough away match at Manchester United.

Jores Okore played well against Sunderland this weekend as Aston Villa won 4-0.

It was a complete non-effort from Sunderland in all parts of the match but it's worth noting Okore played well and did enough to get in the Best Xi this week. He had 18 points, six of which came from the clean sheet and 12 from phantom points. With Tim Sherwood in town, Aston Villa are finally playing slightly better, so Okore is an option when the matchup is right.

Jores Okore scored against Chelsea but couldn't do enough to get his side any points against the league leaders.

Okore finished with a solid 16 fantasy points. The defender has been great in recent weeks and the goal was just icing on the cake. He lacks a bit of consistency, but the upside is certainly there. In the last four weeks, he has had 14, 1, 6, and 16 points. With Ron Vlaar struggling for fitness and a lot of the other Aston Villa defenders dealing with injuries, Okore will likely continue starting and is worth his £ 8.83M price tag in the Yahoo! game. He is also certainly worth picking up in draft-leagues.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore is hoping to be fit when his team faces Liverpool this weekend.

The Aston Villa defender has missed the beginning of the season due to his recovery from long-term injury not being complete. The youngster tore his ACL last season and is just now returning to match-level fitness. Villa will likely take their time with Okore since he is one of their prized assets that is expected to be a big part of their future. Don't utilize Okore this week but keep him in mind as we go forward since he and Ron Vlaar could make a great defensive duo.

Jores Okore featured in Aston Villa's friendly against Mansfield and partnered Ciaran Clark at center-back.

Okore missed the majority of last season with an ACL tear but has recovered in time for the new season. Okore will likely partner Ron Vlaar in central-defense once fully healthy and Aston Villa can have one of the more solid center-back partnerships in the Premier League. Okore is extremely cheap in the Yahoo Fantasy game and is a great filler for your bench or your starting lineup if you need extra money to spend up top.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore is expected to be fully fit for the start of next season after recovering from a torn ACL that required surgery.

Okore has been out since September and missed most of the Premier League season in his first year at Villa. With Nathan Baker and Ciaran Clark not playing up to expectations, Okore could be a great boost to VIlla next season. If Okore and Ron Vlaar both remain healthy, Villa have the opportunity to have one of the best back-line duos in the Premier League. Fantasy managers who think ahead will invest in Okore.

Jores Okore could return next month from the ACL surgery he had back in September.

Okore has been recovering well and has been training hard with Villa's medical staff but the club is being cautious with the youngster. It's understandable that Villa want to be careful with their priced asset and we shouldn't expect to see Okore in March. He can probably return for a few games in April, but I don't think he will be a fantasy option this year.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore said he expects to be back playing in two to three months.

Okore has been out since the middle of September with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. ACL injuries take a long time to recover but the Denmark international is hopeful he will return in two to three months. Okore is a young, talented defender who can help Villa's struggling defense. He will be a solid fantasy contributor in the future.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has a ruptured ACL and will require surgery on his knee.

Okore may miss up to 9 months after the surgery and might not be back this season. This is a huge blow for Aston Villa as Okore has just appeared to win the starting job and was a major part of the team. Look for Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker to fill in for Okore; one of them should win the regular starting spot in keep it.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore started Villa's games against Newcastle but was forced to leave with an apparent knee injury.

Okore finally earned a starting spot ahead of healthy Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker but was forced to leave with the injury. Clark came on to replace him shortly after the half hour mark. Check back next week to see his status for next week's game.

Jores Okore started for Aston Villa in the team's 1-0 loss to Liverpool.

Okore started instead of Ciaran Clark and Nathan Baker, suggesting the two may not have been fit for action. Clark was on the bench but Baker was not in the game squad at all. Okore played fairly well but did get beat a couple of times, once by Benteke who ended up putting on a dangerous shot on goal on the play. It's still unknown who Villa's starters at center back will be this season so avoid them for now.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has returned to the lineup after suffering an injury early in the preseason matches.

The defender featured for 45 minutes against Shamrock Rovers and Paul Lambert had nice words to say about his defense after the game. Villa kept a clean sheet and won the game 2-0. Okore will have to compete with Ron Vlaar, Nathan Baker, and Ciaran Clark for the two central defender starting spots and I wouldn't be surprised if he is a starter once the season is under way and he gets some playing time. Alexander Tonev also returned to the lineup.
