Keenum ended his college career by throwing for his second 500+ yard game of the season, completing 45 of 69 passes on the day. Keenum's touchdown passes of 8, 40, and 75 yards helped secure the 30-14 Cotton Bowl victory for Houston. Keenum went over the 5,600-yard mark for the season and will finish his final season as a Cougar with 48 touchdown passes to only five interceptions. The Cougars' 30 points were the lowest total in a victory this season, but Keenum made no mistakes and did more than enough to secure a bowl victory. Mon, Jan 2, 2012 03:52:00 PM

Houston quarterback Case Keenum went 41-for-67 with two touchdowns and two interceptions against Southern Miss in the team's first loss of the season.

The numbers were not even as good as they seem, with Keenum adding his second touchdown pass with three seconds left in the game as the Golden Eagles were waiting for the celebration to begin. Keenum and the Cougars' number-one ranked offense were frustrated by the Southern Miss defense all day and were held to a season-low 28 points. The quarterback's two interceptions almost matched his season total, as he only had three coming into the game. It is no doubt a frustrating result during the sixth-year senior's last home game, but Keenum was able to add to his NCAA all-time leading number of touchdown passes in a career. His two touchdowns today give Keenum 45 for the season and 152 for his career.

Houston's Case Keenum threw for 457 yards and 5 TDs in a 48-16 win at Tulsa. The Cougars moved to 12-0 and, with a win in the CUSA title game, will head to a BCS bowl.

Keenum completed 33-of-46 in compiling his eighth 400-yard game this season. It was also the 37th time in his career Keenum threw for at least 300 yards, which is a new NCAA standard. He was tied with Hawaii's Timmy Chang. Friday’s game marked the fourth time this season Keenum threw at least 5 TD passes and the sixth-year senior heads into the conference title game with 43 touchdown passes against only 3 INTs in 467 attempts. Keenum has 4,726 yards passing.

Houston’s Case Keenum threw for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 73-17 rout of visiting Tulane on Thursday night.

Hard to imagine Keenum’s passing yards did not come close to half the Cougars’ output (725 yards) on the game. But there was no need for the QB to play the fourth quarter in what was surprisingly a scoreless game after one quarter. Keenum was 22-of-29 for 325 yards and 3 TDs giving him 3,951 yards and 37 touchdowns on the season. Both figures lead the nation.

Case Keenum threw for 407 yards in a 56-13 win over UAB. In the process, the Houston quarterback broke the NCAA career passing yards mark previously held by Hawaii’s Timmy Chang.

Keenum finished the game with 17,212 career yards. Chang, whose career spanned 2000-04, threw for 17,072. Against the Blazers, Keenum was a remarkable 39-of-44 (88.6 percent) with a pair of TDs. On the season, he has thrown for 3,626 yards and 34 TDs.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum threw 9 touchdown passes and set the FBS career mark for TD passes in Houston’s 73-34 win over Rice.

That’s right – 9 touchdown passes! Believe or not, it is not a single-game record. That belongs to another Houston quarterback. David Klinger threw 11 TD passes in an 84-21 win over Eastern Washington in 1990. A record Keenum did set was for career touchdown passes among FBS quarterbacks. He finished the game with 139 having blown past the previous mark of 134 that Texas Tech’s Graham Harrell established from 2005-08. Perhaps lost among the TD heroics was the fact Keenum threw for 534 yards. He now has more than 3,200 yards passing with 32 TDs.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum threw for 376 yards and 6 touchdowns in Houston's big win over Marshall.

Early in the first quarter, Keenum surpassed Hawaii's Timmy Chang as the FBS all-time leader in total offense. Keenum needed only 130 yards to reach Chang's 16,910 yards and left that number in the dust by the end of the day. The sixth-year senior was nearly perfect, completing 24 of his 28 passes and spreading his 6 touchdowns out to 5 different receivers.

Houston has finished filling out their 2011 non-conference schedule  with UCLA, North Texas, Louisiana Tech and Georgia State.

With Case Keenum coming back, that schedule looks very Cougar friendly.

After having knee surgery last fall, Houston quarterback Case Keenum likely won't see much live action come spring practice. "I'm not particularly as interested in him getting a bunch of live reps (during spring practice), as I am during two-a-days and summer, " coach Kevin Sumlin said.

Keenum shouldn't need much work this spring and summer to get back up to speed. Look for him to be the top-rated fantasy quarterback once again.

In what can only be described as good news, Houston quarterback Case Keenum has been granted a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA. Keenum suffered a torn ACL in the third game of the season and never returned.

This is great news for fantasy owners as they have another year of stratospheric production from Keenum, a solid backup in Cotton Turner, and a bright future in David Piland.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum has submitted paperwork for a sixth year of eligibility.  Keenum will have to prove that he lost two years of eligibility due to injury in order for the NCAA to grant another year.

If the NCAA doesn't make a decision before the NFL Scouting Combine, Keenum will have a tough decision to make. Wait out the NCAA and hope they rule in his favor or cut bait and enter the NFL Draft.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum will seek an additional year of eligibility from the NCAA. Though he has already used his redshirt, as season-ending injury suffered in Week Three gives the Cougar senior a fighting chance to be granted a 6th year.

Should Keenum's appeal be declined then he'll likely enter the 2011 draft. However Keenum doesn't want his Houston career to end on such a sour note, so hopefully he'll get to enjoy his collegiate experience for another year.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum is unsure of what he'll do following knee surgery. His choices are to petition the NCAA for a medical redshirt or give the NFL Draft a go.

Hopefully Keenum will have a successful surgery and then make the best decision for his future.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum will miss the rest of the year with a torn ACL. Keenum suffered the injury Saturday against UCLA trying to make a tackle after he threw an interception.

With Cotton Turner also out for the year with a broken clavicle, Terrance Broadway suddenly becomes a hot waiver wire commodity.  He will likely get the start next week against Tulane.

Houston quarterback Case Keenum suffered an apparent knee injury while trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception.  He walked off the field gingerly and went to the locker room on a golf cart.

Keenum was questionable to play tonight due to a concussion suffered during last week's game.  It's been a rough stretch for the stud quarterback so hopefully for him and his fantasy owners the injury isn't too serious.  Stay tuned for more information.
