Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell said that superstar Sooner wide receiver Ryan Broyles plans on returning in 2011.

This is great news for Landry Jones, his teammates, and pretty much everyone within a 100-mile radius of Norman, Oklahoma. The Sooner offense will be scary good next year.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says he has advised receiver Ryan Broyles to stay in school due to the uncertainty of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and that he likely wouldn't be a first round pick.

If Broyles leaves, the Sooners will have to replace him and Cameron Kenney. You can bet quarterback Landry Jones is also lobbying Broyles to hang around Norman.

It is no surprise that Ryan Broyles had yet another big game with 13 catches for 170 yards and a score but Cameron Kenney came to the Fiesta Bowl ready to party with seven grabs for 154 yards and a score.

The Sooners have been looking for a complement to Broyles and Kenney appears to have staked quite a claim for that position.

Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles has not closed the door on leaving early for the 2011 NFL Draft. “I never said, ‘Definitely,’ (coming back)” Broyles said, clarifying comments he made earlier.. “At this time, yeah, I’m going to stay. That’s what I would tell anybody. I’m focused on here. I’m not focused on anything else. I’m not going to consider (the NFL) until the season is over. But I never said definitely (I’m coming back).”

Obviously not what Sooner fans want to hear, but give Broyles some credit for being honest about his situation.

Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles is practicing this week despite a pair of bum ankles. "The good part was Sunday and Monday he was no different than going into the game," Stoops said. "You would hope as this week goes he'll feel a little better by this weekend. And playing on grass (at OU) I think you don't have the sudden stops you do on that artificial surface."

Playing on bad wheels is never ideal, but we expect Broyles to play Saturday against Colorado.
