Doug Martin did it all for Boise State but it was still not enough as they fell to Nevada in overtime.  Early on, the Broncos rode Martin as he finished the game with 24 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He was also the team's second leading receiver with three catches for 78 yards and a score.

Martin has been a workhorse when his team needs him to be and certainly stepped up in a big way against Nevada.

Boise State running back Doug Martin ran all over Idaho as he finished with 16 carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Martin is the top option in the backfield but since they get up so early, he does not put up stellar numbers.

Boise State running back Doug Martin had a fantastic day rushing the ball against Louisiana Tech as the "Muscle Hamster" rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

With so many weapons for the Broncos Martin's production can be hit or miss, but his upside is hard to ignore. He narrowly missed a third rushing touchdown on a fumbled exchange at the goal line in the second quarter.

Boise State running back Doug Martin didn't get a lot of work as the Broncos put away New Mexico State early, but still managed to carry the ball 10 times for 96 yards and a touchdown while adding a 28-yard touchdown reception.

With D.J. Harper out, Martin's stock goes way up.

Boise State running back Doug Martin had 19 carries for 138 yards in the win over Oregon State.  He added four catches for 35 yards.

Martin is averaging 108.7 rushing yards per game which is almost twice as many as last season (54.6).  He only has one touchdown compared to 15 last season, but with WAC conference play coming up that should change.

The Idaho Statesman profiles Boise starting running back Doug Martin (a man with a few nicknames), and it's clear that his teammates knew he would have a big impact well before Martin even saw regular snaps in game action.

Martin combines a punishing running style with the ability the run away from fast people trying to tackle him, and he's a nice starting option against Wyoming this weekend.

Last year, Boise State's Doug Martin weighed in at 201 pounds but has recently tipped the scales at 212.

Martin is clearly the thunder to Jeremy Avery's lightning and both will continue to share carries. With the extra weight, Martin should see even more goal line carries. Also don't forget about D.J. Harper as he returns from a torn ACL.

Boise State running back Doug Martin carried eight times for 81 yards and four scores in a win over New Mexico State.

It's usually anyone's guess who shoulders the load for the Broncos between Martin and Jeremy Avery.  Boise's potential BCS game against a TBD opponent may be one of the most interesting matchups of the post season.

Boise State running backs Doug Martin and Jeremy Avery both ran for over 100 yards and multiple scores in Friday's win over Utah State.

Martin led the way with 121 yards and four scores, while Avery had a cool 116 and two touchdowns as the Broncos ran for 323 yards in the contest.  Boise appears to be able to pick their poison on offense, but I'd expect to see more scoring balance next week against Nevada.

Boise State running back Doug Martin (pulled muscle) missed last week's game with Hawaii, though the Idaho Statesman reports that he'll play this Saturday against San Jose State.

Boise is going to run the ball well against San Jose State, though the presence of Jeremy Avery and the emergence of freshman Matt Kaiserman make it difficult to recommend Martin with confidence.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Martin was hobbled by a pulled muscle before the game.  That coupled with an early lead and the Broncos went with Matt Kaiserman to finish off the Warriors.
