FAU running back Alfred Morris put up big numbers against Louisiana-Monroe; the bruising back carried the ball 30 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns as the Owls lost to the Warhawks.

Florida Atlantic running back Alfred Morris was held out of contact drills Wednesday due to an ankle injury.   Morris says he will play Saturday against Middle Tennessee State. 

Morris has been a terror of late, but you may want to play other options this week if you have them.

Quarterback Rusty Smith isn't the only Florida Atlantic Owl player "hoo'ing" it up since starting Sun Belt play. Running back Alfred Morris posted his second consecutive game rushing north of 140. The 222 lb. Morris rumbled for a season-high 181 yards and touchdowns of 47 and 17 yards against Louisiana-Lafayette.

This is the third game Morris has ran for more than 100 yards in this season; each time coming against a Sun Belt opponent. This Owl offense is hot right now, and Alfred Morris should continue to post huge numbers.

ESPN blogger Graham Watson lists Florida Atlantic running back Alfred Morris as one of her top movers and shakers this spring.

At a minimum, the former fullback should be a threat around the goal line.

Florida Atlantic running back Alfred Morris exploded in this afternoon's spring game in Boca Raton, Florida, carrying the ball 18 times for a total of 131 yards rushing and a touchdown.

Believe it or not, Morris came into spring camp as a backup fullback, but ended up the starting tailback in today's final scrimmage, thanks, in part, to an ACL injury sustained by Jeff Blanchard and other injuries coming to Willie Floyd and Avionne Rolle. The FAU coaching staff already knew Morris could be a physical runner, yet identified during recent practices a dynamic sense of speed, an attribute he showed off several times throughout today's final scrimmage before summer break.
