According to CBS 21 News sources in Pittsburgh, Pitt running back LeSean McCoy is currently in Florida preparing for the NFL draft. If true, he is most likely training for the NFL combine.

Reports on the sophomore's draft status have gone back and forth over the last month. Most recently, coach Dave Wannstedt encouraged McCoy to take the time he needs to make a decision. Great advice from his coach, but in the end it looks like Wannstedt will be without his stud running back.

Pittsburgh star tailback LeSean McCoy has decided (after meeting with Dave Wannstedt) to postpone his decision on whether or not he'll declare for the draft.

McCoy initially said he'd return, and then he said he was going to declare for the draft. Now McCoy isn't sure. He'll take a little more time to decide.

Reports out of Pittsburgh are saying that Pitt running back LeSean McCoy will declare for the draft on Friday.

Pitt Coach Dave Wannstedt seemed convinced that McCoy would return until the running back's mother gave a not so fast earlier in the week. The loss of McCoy would be a devastating blow to the oft-one dimensional Panther offense.

LeSean McCoy's mother says that no decision will be made until her son receives the report from the NFL Advisory Board.

Despite McCoy's claims that he plans to return, recent comments imply that a very nice grade and LeSean is bidding adieu to the Steel City.

Pitt coach Dave Wannstedt said he expects top tailback LeSean McCoy to return for his junior year.

McCoy earlier indicated that he intends return for another year instead of entering the NFL draft. If all holds true, McCoy will be a top five fantasy back in 2009.

Pitt running back LeSean McCoy ran for 95 yards and a touchdown in the win over UConn, and his Panthers end the regular season with a 9-3 record.

Running back LeSean McCoy rushed for 183 yards and scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to power Pitt over West Virginia 19-15.

Despite previous speculation, running back LeSean McCoy says he intends to stay at Pitt for at least one more year.

It's appearing more and more likely that this Friday's game between Pitt and West Virginia will be LeSean McCoy's final home game of his college career.

Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt will help McCoy test the NFL waters, and it's a good bet that the next time he runs at Heinz Field he'll be playing on a Sunday. McCoy is only a sophomore, but he attended a year of prep school before enrolling at Pitt, which would make him eligible for the NFL draft.

LeSean McCoy set a career low in rushing yards with only 39 on 17 carries in a 41-7 win over Louisville. McCoy contributed an 11-yard touchdown run to the cornucopia of Panther touchdowns, but could not find much daylight against the Cardinals after posting at least 142 yards rushing in each of his previous five games.

I wouldn't sound the alarm after this one, especially not considering McCoy's previous five games. Louisville has a very underrated rush defense that has been getting better each game, and most of Pittsburgh's scoring opportunities came with a short field or off of turnovers.

LeSean McCoy had his third consecutive 140 yard plus performance of the season and tenth 100 yard rushing game of his career against Navy. McCoy carried the ball 18 times for 156 yards and three scores while also adding two receptions for 46 yards.

Keep an eye on Larod Stevens-Howling who has been stealing a few carries from McCoy in the redzone and finished the day with 34 yards and two scores.

Pitt running back LeSean McCoy ran for 149 yards on 28 carries, but he was held out of the endzone as the Panthers held off the Cuse.

McCoy broke his streak of scoring in each game, and owners were likely salivating at the thought of their back running against a rather porous Syracuse defensive unit.
