Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant announced on Thursday that he will enter the 2010 NFL draft.
Bryant's decision doesn't come as much of a surprise.  He has size, speed and can return punts. A nice combo package for NFL suitors. He is a certain first round pick. Fri, Nov 6, 2009 12:45:00 PM

In an ESPN interview, suspended Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant says he is undecided on whether or not to enter the 2010 NFL Draft.

At this point it seems unlikely that Bryant will return for his senior year, but we shall see.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant has been suspended for the season by the NCAA, though the Cowboys are appealing and expect a decision by next week. The NCAA announced Tuesday the suspension will be in force until September 2010.

Guess we'll have to wait and see on this one. Right now, it doesn't look good for Bryant or Oklahoma State.

"There's nothing new," Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said regarding the status of suspended wide receiver Dez Bryant.. "We've had no response. I think everybody has given up."

It doesn't sound like there is much fight left within the Oklahoma Start brass.  Bryant is still awaiting a decision on whether he'll be reinstated by the NCAA after previously lying to them regarding a meeting he had with ex-NFL player Deion Sanders.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy, speaking of wide receiver Dez Bryant, told The Dallas Morning News that "there's no question that he's learned his lesson and that should help him down the road, later in life." Though Gundy doesn't know when the status of his star receiver will be known.

Bryant likely learned that lying to the NCAA isn't a good thing. And considering what happened to MC Hammer's career after he started hanging out with Deion Sanders, maybe Bryant will avoid the former NFL star as well.

As expected Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant and associate athletic director for compliance Scott Williams met with the NCAA to discuss Bryant's potential reinstatement. Bryant was suspended by the University for lying about his interaction with former NFL star Deion Sanders.

It is not known when a ruling will be made by the NCAA. Based on their track record, it is doubtful that it will come before this Saturday's game against Missouri.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant will meet with the NCAA, possibly on Tuesday, to discuss his possible reinstatement.

Expect the NCAA to grill Bryant hard.  As well as lying about meeting with ex-NFL player Deon Sanders, it seems Bryant and Oklahoma State have been withholding requested phone records.

After being ruled ineligible on Wednesday, Oklahoma wide receiver Dez Bryant had this to say on his Facebook account: "This is why I'm suspended.....I went to Deion sanders house ....and the NCAA found out.....they ask me if I been to his house I told them no...I thought it was a violation...but it wasn't... so I (admitted later that) I went to his house. ... I lied to ...them and I shouldn't have....and I'm not suspended for the rest of the season....I'm sorry osu!!"

The key part being that Dez thinks he will be back. That is obviously up to the NCAA which could decide next week or four weeks from now. It seems pretty clear that nothing is going to happen before this Saturday's game against Texas A&M though.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant's ineligibility stems from failing to fully disclose to the NCAA his contact with an ex-NFL player.

Obviously there is more to the story than either side is saying, namely who the ex-NFL player is.  And there is a still a chance that Bryant could regain his eligibility; Oklahoma State has already applied for Bryant's reinstatement.  So we would hold onto Dez for now.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant has been ruled ineligible for violation of the NCAA unethical conduct policy, according to The Oklahoman.

Apparently, school officials are already working on an appeal.  If this stands, Bryant's absence will be a major blow to the entire Oklahoma State offense. Updates will be forthcoming as they become available.

Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant (calf) and running back Kendall Hunter (ankle) have been ruled out versus Grambling on Saturday.

The news that Bryant will sit is not a big shock.  Both could return next week against Texas A&M.

There have been no further updates on the status of Dez Bryant (calf) for this week's game against Grambling.

The lack of information puts fantasy owners in a precarious position.  Going up against an FCS school, there is a good chance Bryant rests this week.  Owners will have to weigh their own risk/reward for playing Bryant in Week Four.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says wide receiver Dez Bryant is day-to-day with a strained hamstring.

With Grambling up next, you have to wonder how much work Bryant will see even if he is able to play.
