The senior threw for 329 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT, but added two more rushing scores to lead ECU to a conference win. ECU quarterback Dominique Davis threw for a NCAA-record 26 straight completions in one game during the Pirates' win over Navy.

Davis also broke the record for completions over multiple games as he completed his last 10 passes last week against Memphis. Davis' 36 consecutive completions demolished the previous record of 26 straight held by Aaron Rodgers during his time at Cal. Davis finished 40-for-45 for 372 yards and two touchdowns while leading his team to a 38-35 victory in Annapolis.

East Carolina’s Dominique Davis threw for a school-record 417 yards in a loss to North Carolina.

Davis broke his own record of 413 yards in a wild and wackly 76-35 loss to Navy last year, a season in which he threw for nearly 4,000 yards and virtually re-wrote the Pirates’ record book. It’s been an uneven season for Davis so far. After throwing 4 TDs with one pick in an opening-week loss to South Carolina, Davis is 5:5 the past two weeks including 2:2 against the Tar Heels.

Despite losing to SMU, Dominique Davis continued to perform as he threw for 314 yards and two scores while also rushing for a touchdown.

If your quarterback were to throw for 308 yards and three touchdowns, you would consider that a good day.  However, that is a slow day for East Carolina quarterback Dominique Davis as he has as many five touchdown passing performances as he does three touchdown ones.

Davis is a top tier fantasy quarterback and this is just his first year in the new offense.  Look for him to be even better next year.

As we noted on Saturday, East Carolina quarterback Dominique Davis left last week's game against UAB for a spell, but was able to return. Coach Ruffin McNeill says Davis hurt his left (non-throwing) shoulder, but should be ready for Rice." I think he’ll be OK," coach McNeill said on Monday. "He’s a tough nut. It hurt him, but I’m anxious to see how he does after today’s treatment. We held him out last night a little bit just to rest it. But he’s a tough kid. I hope he’s ready to go."

The injury didn't appear to have much impact on Davis as he threw three fourth quarter touchdowns when he returned. The only fear is Davis taking a hit aggravating the injury, but that is not enough reason to leave him on the bench.

East Carolina quarterback Dominique Davis left the game for a bit but was still able to come back and beat UAB and break the single season passing touchdown record set by Jeff Blake.  Davis finished the night with 331 yards passing and recorded his third five touchdown performance of the season.

Davis is a must start and will only be better next year.

East Carolina quarterback Dominique Davis was hot and cold in a close win against Southern Miss.  He threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns, but completed just 50% of his passes and also tossed three picks.

Despite the errors, Davis is a solid start due to the nature of the offense and the quality of the defenses he faces.

East Carolina's offense had another big day as they rolled up 425 yards of total offense against Memphis.  Dominique Davis led the charge going 27-of-38 passing for 244 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for two scores.

Davis has shown himself to be the perfect triggerman for this high powered offense and should be a QB1 in any league.

Dominique Davis got the start for the Pirates and never looked back as he engineered a last second, hail mary victory against Tulsa.  Davis finished the day on 27-of-46 passing for 385 yards, five touchdowns, and a pick.  Davis also scrambled for 27 yards and another score.

Anytime someone can post six total touchdowns, you have to wonder if he isn't worthy of a QB2 or higher.  Snag Davis but just keep an eye on him to see if he is consistent.

East Carolina's first game under new head coach Ruffin McNeill showed some definite star power.  Versatile playmaker Dwayne Harris had seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns, while Lance Lewis added six grabs for 103 yards and two more scores.  Dominique Davis found a nice red zone target in tight end Justin Jones who had four catches for 53 yards and the game winning touchdown.

Harris is an established commodity while Lewis showed himself to be a favorite target of Davis.  Jones is a nice tight end option.

“It changes every day,” East Carolina offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley said about the the starting quarterback situation. “It doesn't change dramatically, which is good, because we're starting to see more consistency.” Dominique Davis and Brad Wornick are neck and neck for the job.

Head coach Ruffin McNeill said earlier that they don't plan to rotate quarterbacks. But this isn't sounding like a team ready to pick a guy and go with it.  Time to make a decision fellas and get one guy ready to play.
