Nearly five years after a productive freshman season on the grid, Kyle Jefferson will leave Wisconsin a winner.
As a freshman in the autumn of 2007, Jefferson made six starts and caught 27 passes. In the spring of 2012, he was a Big Ten track champ and will be the first member of his family to graduate from college. Sophomore wide receiver for the Wisconsin Badgers, Kyle Jefferson, was hospitalized tonight, this after the wideout suffered neck and head injuries following a hard hit suffered just prior to halftime.

Initial results, according to head coach Bret Bielema were "very encouraging"; Jefferson was knocked unconscious on the field but was "able to talk, squeeze his hands and move his feet afterward."

Wisconsin wide receiver Kyle Jefferson left the field immobilized and in an ambulance after suffering a fierce hit in the 2nd quarter of the game with Minnesota.

Initial reports had Jefferson dealing with a concussion, although this wasn't for certain. We certainly hope and pray for the best.
