In the first half of the bowl game against Miami of Ohio, Middle Tennessee quarterback Dwight Dasher looked like his old self as he accounted for 158 total yards and a 49-yard rushing touchdown.  However, his turnover prone nature reared its head in the second half as he threw four picks as the Blue Raiders lost to the Redhawks.
Dasher went from being a top five fantasy prospect to fans asking for his benching.  My how the mighty have fallen. Fri, Jan 7, 2011 04:30:00 PM

Middle Tennessee will travel to West Lafayette for their season opener next season as they face Purdue.  The Raiders will be paid handsomely for the trip as they will make $850,000.

This will begin the post-Dwight Dasher era and will be a nice warm up for the Boilermakers.

Middle Tennessee quarterback Dwight Dasher has struggled mightily since serving a suspension earlier in the season but finally had a good day as he passed for 158 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception while also rushing for 62 yards and two more scores.

Too little, too late Mr. Dasher.

Some people seem to think that Dwight Dasher would better serve his team riding the pine but head coach Rick Stockstill has said that Dasher "gives us the best chance to win".  The Daily News Journal seems to think that Stockstill is trying to redshirt quarterback Jeff Murphy and Logan Kilgore with a wide receiver being the only other quarterbacking option.

The season is gone and it looks like Stockstill is going to plan for the future so do not expect Dasher to be sitting on the sidelines this season.

Despite throwing 10 picks and losing three fumbles in four games, coach Rick Stockstill is sticking with Dwight Dasher as his starting quarterback.  Stockstill says "He still gives us the best chance to win."

Part of the reason that Dasher is still taking the field is that backups Logan Kilgore and Jeff Murphy have been a bit banged up.  Dasher is not going to return to form, so it is best to just let him go if you are still holding on.

Middle Tennessee quarterback Dwight Dasher just cannot seem to snap back into last year's form and the troubles continued tonight against Arkansas State.  Dasher passed for 146 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions while doing some damage on the ground with 61 yards rushing and a score.

Dasher was a fantasy superstar last year but has fizzled out this year.

Middle Tennessee quarterback Dwight Dasher has not looked like the star he was last year but against Louisiana-Monroe, he took a couple steps towards being a star once more.  Dasher finished the game on 11-of-19 passing for 219 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception while also rushing for 66 yards.

After shaking off the rust the past two games, Dasher is almost back so you might consider picking him up if he is available.

Middle Tennessee quarterback Dwight Dasher struggled for the second consecutive week, throwing four interceptions and rushing for just 35 yards.

Dasher did score twice, but the turnovers are troublesome, and the yardage isn't anywhere near what owners waited four weeks to get.  You've waited this long, you have no choice but to keep waiting while Dasher shakes the rust off.

The diagnosis for Middle Tennessee State quarterback Dwight Dasher has been confirmed, he suffered a dislocated pinkie in his left (non-throwing) hand, but there was no break. Dasher is expected to tape it up and play next week against Georgia Tech.

The Blue Raiders better solve their offensive line woes between now and then or Dasher and the offense will struggle once again.

Middle Tennessee State quarterback Dwight Dasher was finally able to take the field Tuesday against Troy, but it was a night to forget.  Dasher was held to just 201 total yards of offense and two scores.  He also dislocated the pinkie on his left (non-throwing) hand and threw a pick.

Troy did a good job of mixing up their blitz packages, which kept Dasher and the Raiders offense from getting in sync.  It didn't help that Dasher missed most of the first quarter getting his finger taped.

"We've got that Dwight Dasher feeling right now," wide receiver Sancho McDonald said after practice on Tuesday. "Dwight has a special chemistry with everybody. We know what he can do. It's nothing against the other quarterbacks because they did a good job, but when he is on the field people get the feeling that (MTSU) will really get rolling."

There is no question that the players and coaching staff are giddy about the return of their fleet footed signal caller. Dasher will get his first game action on Tuesday October 5 against Troy.

Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill confirmed that Dwight Dasher will start against Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Dasher has been practicing with the team while serving his suspension and while he may not be in mid-season form, he's still a good start in Week Six.

Middle Tennessee State quarterback Dwight Dasher lost his appeal with the NCAA to have his suspension reduced from four games to three and will miss this week's game against Louisiana-Lafayette.

What's the old saying, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth"? I'm surprised Dasher and the Raiders decided to open up that can of worms (I'm going for a cliche record in this post).  Considering it was just one more game, they should have just been thankful for what they got.  It speaks to how desperate they are to get Dasher back behind center.

Middle Tennessee State is hoping to hear back from the NCAA on their appeal to limit Dwight Dasher's four-game suspension to time served on late Thursday or early Friday.

It seems unlikely the NCAA will bend on this one, but we'll see.

The NCAA has made their decision on the future of Dwight Dasher and he will be suspended for four games and will have to repay a $1500 loan.

The Blue Raiders have moved on without him and have preformed decently well.  Look for Dasher to reclaim the job but struggle to reach last year's heights.
