In his final college game, Chandler Harnish threw for 274 yards and 2 TDs in leading Northern Illinois to 38-20 GoDaddy.com Bowl win over Arkansas State.
A bad ankle kept Harnish from being a factor running the ball as his net was minus-3 yards on 9 attempts. He finished the season with 1,379 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. Harnish was 18-of-36 passing for 274 yards and 2/1 giving him 3,216 yards and 28/6. All told, he accounted for 4,595 yards and 39 touchdowns. Chandler Harnish led Northern Illinois on three fourth-quarter scoring drives in a final-play, 23-20 victory over Ohio in the MAC title game.

The Huskies trailed 20-0 at the half and 20-7 after three quarters. Harnish threw a pair of fourth-quarter TD passes to bring NIU even and the senior led the team on a game-winning drive that ended with Mathew Sims, who earlier missed an extra point, nailing a 33-yard FG on the game's final play. Harnish, the MAC Player of the Year, was 16-of-26 for 250 yards and 3/1. He was 13-31 on the ground.

Northern Illinois QB Chandler Harnish ran for 148 yards and one TD and threw for another score as the host Huskies beat Eastern Michigan 18-12.

With the win, their seventh straight, the Huskies are headed to the MAC championship game. Harnish topped 100 yards rushing for the fourth straight week with his lowest total in that span 133. It was the sixth time he reached the century mark this year and gave him 1,351 yards on the ground. Harnish was 9-of-19 for 98 yards and 1/0 via the air against the Eagles. The senior enters the MAC title game with 4,043 total yards and 34 total TDs.

Chandler Harnish threw for 338 yards and ran for 181 in leading Northern Illinois to 41-38 win over Ball State. Harnish also threw two TD passes and ran for a third.

Harnish has 2,594 yards passing and has at least two games, and probably three, to become a 3,000/1,000 QB. He has 1,203 yards rushing and has topped 100 yards on the ground three straight games and five time overall this season. Harnish has accouted for 32 TDs (22 passing) and thrown only 4 INTs this season, none in the last four contests.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish threw for 294 yards and ran for 151 in a 45-14 win at Bowling Green on Tuesday night.

Harnish was 16-26-294 and 2/0 through the air and 17-151-1 on the ground. It was the fourth time in 10 games this season Harnish accounted for at least 400 yards and the fourth time he reached the century mark rushing. It was also the sixth time he passed and ran for at least one TD. On the season, Harnish has 2,256 yards passing (20 TDs) and 1,022 rushing (9 TDs).

Northern Illinois QB Chandler Harnish threw 6 touchdown passes, including the game-winner with 19 seconds remaining, and totaled 398 yards (265 passing) in a 63-60 win over Toledo.

Harnish has had such a strong year that his yardage total Tuesday was only his fourth-highest of the season. The senior, who had 12 TD passes coming and went the previous two games without one, was 17-of-26 and did not throw an INT. He has been picked only four times in 241 attempts this season. On the ground, Harnish had 133 yards marking the third time he topped the century mark this season. After nine games, Harnish has 1,962 yards passing and a career-high 864 on the ground. He has totaled 26 TDs.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish passed for a season high 300 yards as the Huskies downed Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl.  Harnish passed for a touchdown and also rushed for 72 yards and two more scores.

Harnish has been a scoring machine as of late and should be worth a late round consideration next year.

Despite losing to upstart Miami in the MAC championship, Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish had a great day passing as he threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns.

Harnish has been a solid fantasy option this year and is one to certainly consider next year.

Chandler Harnish - QB - Huskies

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish did his best Cameron Newton impression against Toledo as he threw for 162 yards and a touchdown while adding 149 yards on the ground with a rushing score.

Harnish has been playing lights out and is a nice start in deeper leagues.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish had a big day against Akron as he completed 16-of-20 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns as the Huskies rolled the Zips.

Harnish has been putting up decent numbers lately but should still only be considered in MAC leagues.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish did not have knee surgery as expected.  Instead Harnish was able to participate in much of spring ball.

Good news for the Huskies, but the Northern Illinois fantasy hopes start and end with running back Chad Spann.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Ohio.

Harnish also rushed for 41 yards to lead the Huskies, while being intercepted once.  It's a bad loss, and while the numbers are good for fantasy owners, NIU was clearly a better team when they relied on the run.  Chad Spann had just 32 yards tonight (and two touchdowns.)   Consider both risky options for week 13.

Chandler Harnish - QB - Huskies

While DeMarcus Grady started at QB for Northern Illinois this evening, Chandler Harnish returned to action in the second half of a victory against Ball State.

Grady went 4-of-5 for just 31 yards, a touchdown and an interception.  Harnish was a perfect 9-of-9 for 60 yards and a score.  Add that up and its a 13-of-14, 91 yard evening for the Husky QBs.  Grady had rushed for over 100 yards in back-to-back contests coming in, but was held to 22 tonight.  The running game is NIU's butter, so maybe a more pure passer in Harnish is the answer moving foward, but the bottom line is stay far, far away from NIU QBs.

Chandler Harnish - QB - Huskies

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish (knee) is back at practice and will be a game-time decision versus Ball State.

The Wolfpack butter their bread with the ground game and running backs Chad Spann and Me'co Brown.  Look for that to continue against a struggling Ball State team.

Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game versus Akron.  Coach Jerry Kill says Harnish may be able to play this week, however.

If Harnish is unable to go then DeMarcus Grady will line up under center for the Huskies.
