Former Oklahoma Sooner recruit/problem child wide receiver Josh Jarboe has been dismissed from the Troy program for a violation of team rules. Larry Blakeney tells The Dothan Eagle that freshman Jamel Johnson should see more playing time now that Jarboe has moved on.
Wide receiver Josh Jarboe “has had his best spring practice," and Chip Reeves “could be our best receiver if he does the right things and if he’s eligible,” Troy coach Larry Blakeney remarked.
Troy has put a gag order on wide receiver Josh Jarboe, but that doesn't mean they don't think highly of the Oklahoma transfer. Quite the opposite. "He has a great deal of God-given ability;" receivers coach Shayne Wasden said. "How hard he works at it will determine how good he will be, but he certainly has the tools."
Harassment charges against Troy's Josh Jarboe have been dropped and the much-maligned (but talented) wide receiver should be ready to go this fall.
Troy wide receiver and former Oklahoma recruit Josh Jarboe was arrested by Troy University police and charged with harassment.
The NCAA has ruled that Troy freshman receiver (and Oklahoma transfer) Josh Jarboe cannot play this season.
