Arizona senior WR Dan Buckner had his best game of the season against Oregon State on Saturday, catching six balls for 199 yards and a touchdown.
Buckner averaged nearly 20 yards per reception and his longest gain came off of a broken play along the sideline where the senior ran under and tracked a lofted football. The Wildcats has sputtered at times, but Buckner should continue to see a large amount of targets. Mon, Oct 1, 2012 09:17:00 AM

Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez expects a lot from leading returning receiver Dan Buckner.

The transfer from Texas, who has a dream build for a receiver at 6-4 and 214, caught 42 passes for 606 yards and 2 TDs in his first season with the Wildcats. If coach Rich Rodriguez has his way, those numbers will be easily surpassed in 2012. With last year’s top outside threat and leading receiver Juron Criner gone -- as well as the next two leading receivers -- Buckner will move to the outside in Rodriguez’s spread offense. The new offense has certainly made for an adjustment with its fast pace and terminology, but so far, so good for Buckner.

Texas transfer and current Arizona wide receiver Dan Buckner will be eligible to play for the 'Cats this year and has been working on hard with the first team offense.  Buckner has been staying late to work with quarterback Nick Foles on his timing and is hoping to make a big impact opposite Juron Criner.

Buckner is a prime candidate for a breakout season as he has shown he can perform at a high level during his freshman season with the Longhorns.

Texas transfer Dan Buckner is making a strong impression at Arizona's spring camp.  Coach Mike Stoops says the  wideout "has unlimited potential."

Buckner showed a glimpse of his potential early in 2009 for the Longhorns before injuries slowed him down.  If you are in a deep keeper league, you may want to consider investing a pick on Buckner for 2011.

Former Texas wide receiver Dan Buckner has transferred to Arizona, where he'll sit out 2010 and look to make in impact in 2011.

Texas wide receiver Dan Buckner was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with Criminal Trespassing and Resisting Arrest.

Malcolm Williams and Marquise Goodwin will start at wide receiver alongside Jordan Shipley against Missouri this Saturday.

Williams and Goodwin will replace James Kirkendoll and Dan Buckner in the starting lineup.  Buckner was a favorite target of quarterback Colt McCoy earlier in the year, but appears to be slowed by a knee injury.  Unless you have Shipley, you'll want to avoid Longhorn receivers.

Texas wide receiver/tight end Dan Buckner is off to fast start this year with 17 catches for 223 yards and two scores in the Longhorn's first three games.

Buckner, a highly regarded recruit coming out of high school last year, has found his groove this year.  He is worth a pickup, especially if you can convince your fantasy commissioner that he is a "flex tight end".
