Arizona receiver Juron Criner had 3 touchdowns among 10 receptions in a 48-12 win over visiting UCLA.
Criner, who had 11 TD receptions a year ago, doubled his 2011 scoring output on a night when he went 10-101. It was his first 100-yard game since the opener against Northern Arizona. He missed the Sept. 8 game at Oklahoma State while recovering from an appendectomy. Fri, Oct 21, 2011 07:40:00 AM

Arizona head coach Mike Stoops has taken a long look at his team and has decided to scrap the power run game in 2011.  Stoops states that "We'll be more like (Texas) Tech than we were in the past.  We'll evaluate all our personnel this winter and see what gives us the best opportunity to move the football."

Arizona brings back gun slinging quarterback Nick Foles as well as top receiver Juron Criner.  Add in the addition of Texas transfer Dan Buckner and you have the ingredients of a potent passing attack.

Juron Criner - WR - Wildcats

Arizona receiver Juron Criner has decided to return for his senior season. "I think that, obviously, is a big deal for us," coach Mike Stoops said of Criner's return.

Criner and quarterback Nick Foles will form one of the most dangerous pitch and catch combinations in the Pac-10 in 2011.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner caught six passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the overtime loss to Arizona State. 

Criner finishes the regular season with 73 catches for 1,186 yards and 10 touchdowns, despite dealing with a turf toe injury for most of the season.  He should be one of the top options in BCS leagues during the bowl season, as he projects to put up some monster numbers against a Big 12 defense.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner had six catches for 98 yards in the loss to USC.  He added one carry for seven yards.

Criner battled through a bum problem to post another solid game.  He has been outstanding over his last four games (31 catches for 431 yards and three touchdowns) and is now 18 yards short of 1,000 on the season.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner is still dealing with a foot/toe injury from earlier this year.

Criner has been battling the injury since September, but has still been the focal point of the passing offense. There have been no practice updates on Criner so far this week.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner had nine catches for 98 yards and a touchdown in the loss at Stanford.  He added three carries for 50 yards on jet sweeps as well.

The Wildcats are doing everything they can to get the ball in Criner's hands.  At one point he hobbled off the field with a leg injury but quickly came back in and scored on the drive.  He is one of the best wide receivers in the country and now has 58 catches for 884 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner had eight catches for 127 yards and one touchdown in the win over UCLA.  It was his fourth game with at least eight catches and 100 yards.

Criner has turned into quite the stud and didn't suffer any drop off even with the backup quarterback playing the last two games.  He leads the Pac 10 with 6.2 receptions per game and is second with 98.2 yards per game.  The competition is about to get tough with Stanford, USC, and Oregon on tap the next three weeks but keep him in your lineups.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner had eight catches for 108 yards and a touchdown in the win over Washington.  It was his third 100 yard receiving game of the year.

So much for the thought that backup quarterback Matt Scott would limit Criner's ability in the passing game.  He showed no ill affects from his previous turf toe injury and should be started in all leagues going forward.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner stated after practice on Wednesday that he is "feeling good, well-rested, and ready to go."  He has been dealing with a lingering turf toe injury.

The bothersome toe caused him to sit out most of the second half last weekend against Washington State.  Matt Scott draws the start at quarterback this weekend and his running style may not lead to the production Criner is used to with Nick Foles under center.  Start him with caution this week.

Juron Criner - WR - Wildcats

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner caught two passes for a season-low 20 yards in the win at Washington State.  He was shutout in the second half.

The injury to starting quarterback Nick Foles had a lot to do with Criner's line tonight.  Backup Matt Scott only completed one pass to him in almost three quarters and fantasy owners have to hope for a speedy recovery for Foles.

Juron Criner - WR - Wildcats

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner (turf toe) should be good to go this weekend against Oregon State.  The bye week came at a good time for the Wildcats.

Criner was able to play through the pain in the win over Cal on September 25th and catch the game winning touchdown.  He is a must start against the Beavers 87th ranked pass defense.

Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner caught a three-yard touchdown pass with 1:11 seconds left in the game to lead the Wildcats to a win over Cal.  He finished with five catches for 68 yards.

Criner had been questionable due to a lingering turf toe injury.  He was held in check all night until the last drive that saw him catch three passes for 59 yards.  The Wildcats have a bye week coming up and it couldn't have come at a better time for the injured wide out.

The foot injury that caused Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner to miss the second half of the win over Iowa was turf toe.  He is listed as day-to-day but he is questionable at best to play this weekend.

This isn't good news.  Turf toe can linger for weeks and for a player that depends on his speed that can be debilitating injury.  Don't expect to see him back at full strength for about a month.  The junior wide receiver has 14 catches for 284 yards and one touchdown this season.
