New South Florida coach Skip Holtz held running back Jamar Taylor out of the team's first two spring practices in order that he could focus on lifting his grades.

Doesn't sound like this is too much to worry about. Just a new sheriff being a little proactive so a little problem doesn't turn into a larger one.

South Florida running back Jamar Taylor will not travel with the team to the International Bowl in Toronto due to passport issues.

Taylor is also still suffering from a knee injury.  Mike Ford and Moise Plancher are expected to carry the load.

TampaBay.com reports South Florida running back Jamar Taylor (knee) has been working with the defense during bowl practices, thus we may be looking at a move to defense for the senior-to-be.  

There are a whole bunch of running backs at South Florida, and more talent will arrive on campus for 2010, thus Taylor's best chance at making an impact may rest with tackling rather than avoiding being tackled.

Brian Bennett of ESPN.com reports that South Florida running back Jamar Taylor will miss 8-to-10 weeks following his knee injury, and the good news is that season-ending surgery doesn't appear necessary.

With Taylor's injury and Mike Ford's suspension suddenly Moise Plancher has shot up a whole lot of draft boards, and with good reason.  He should be the go-to guy to start the season.

South Florida running back Jamar Taylor was carted off the practice field after injuring his right knee during Saturday's scrimmage.  "We don't know how bad it is, so we're going to have to wait and see," coach Jim Leavitt said.

Taylor is battling Moise Plancher and Mike Ford for the starting tailback spot.  According to Leavitt earlier in the week, Plancher is the front runner.

South Florida running back Jamar Taylor will miss spring practice after having offseason shoulder surgery.

Taylor will still be in the mix with running back Mike Ford as a potential starter once fall rolls around. The threat of split carries obviously concerns us from a fantasy standpoint.
