Dan Kausler Jr. of The Birmingham News cites references sources that believe Bama wide receiver Julio Jones is leaning towards entering the NFL Draft.

There seems to be little reason for Jones to return, however as with the case with Andrew Luck, we've been surprised before.

Alabama junior defensive end Marcell Dareus will enter the NFL Draft, so says the stud defender's legal guardian.

The floodgates are just about to bust open in Tuscaloosa, as it's likely more stars will be bidding adieu to the college life.

Alabama offensive coordinator Jim McElwain has recently interview for the vacant head coaching position at Colorado, according to ESPN.

McElwain was successful at Fresno State and most recently at Alabama and would seemingly be a good hire for Colorado as they join the Pac-10.

Auburn could do little to stop Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones in their close Iron Bowl loss, as he caught 10 passes for an astonishing 199 yards and a score.

Jones has really stepped up lately for Greg McElroy and the Tide, but it was just not enough in this contest.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones had a career day as he reeled in 12 passes for 221 yards against an overmatched Tennessee secondary.

When the Tide do pass, Jones is a top target but this performance is a one-time event.

Alabama wideout Julio Jones (fractured hand) has been practicing with the team this week and catching passes. He remains day-to-day and there is a good chance he'll play this week against Ole Miss.

Based on the practice reports, expect Julio to be on the field this Saturday, but he is probably not a good fantasy option.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones broke his hand in Saturday's loss to South Carolina.

Jones' status for this week is uncertain, though it sounds as though he will be severely limited even if he sees the field.

While there was some speculation as to whether or not Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones would play against South Carolina this weekend, head coach Nick Saban says that "he certainly practiced full speed (Thursday), and we were happy to see that".

Having Jones on the field makes a big different as defenses will usually key on him and he is invaluable with his downfield blocking.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones (knee) practiced on Wednesday and he should be ready to play this week against South Carolina.

Jones is one of those top talents that is a good fantasy play in a pinch, but not a reliable WR1/2.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones is day-to-day due to a bruised knee suffered last week against Florida.

Obviously Jones is a key cog in the Tide's passing game and if he can't play it will allow the defense to focus even more resources on stopping running backs Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones is currently day-to-day as he deals with a bruised knee.  Jones has been at practice but according to head coach Nick Saban he is "day to day at least for the first part of the week."

Jones will be needed as the Tide takes on upset minded South Carolina this weekend.

In an absolute beat down of Duke, Julio Jones looked stellar as he hauled in five passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.

WIth Greg McElroy at quarterback, the Tide really spread the ball around so do not expect this type of performance on a weekly basis.  That said, Jones is still the best receiving option on the team.

The Press-Register writes that Arkansas receiver Greg Childs will play second fiddle to Georgia's A.J. Green and Alabama's Julio Jones in preseason All-SEC lists, despite being the most productive receiver in the SEC league play last season.

The Press-Register brings up a very interesting stat: Childs had 737 yards receiving and six touchdowns in eight conference games, best in the SEC.  Childs' three best games were against SEC foes last season.  He obviously fits the big time players in big time games theory.

After a 2009 season that failed to live up to the hype, Alabama receiver Julio Jones is calling his shot on this being "his best season yet". Jones has bulked up to 220 and down to just four percent body fat, and no worries about the speed as Julio indicated he's actually faster because "he's healthy now".

Jones may have a low price tag in your fantasy draft after a disappointing 2009 campaign. With the added size and speed, plus it seems a lean toward incorporating more passing into the Alabama offense Jones may indeed call his shot on his best year yet.
