For Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd, 2011 has been a season of transformation.
The star receiver will play his last game at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday. That’s saying something considering it looked like Floyd may not have played at all this season given his brushes with the law. Floyd changed the routes he ran off the field and he has been productive running them on the field with 77-922-7. Fri, Nov 18, 2011 12:44:00 PM

WR Michael Floyd will rejoin the Irish after serving an indefinite suspension stemming from a March DUI arrest.

Floyd will be back for the Irish in 2011 after Notre Dame announced that they will officially reinstate the wide receiver. Serving an indefinite suspension following a DUI arrest, Floyd has taken all the necessary steps to prove he has learned from his mistakes. "I am very pleased with the progress Michael has made since March. That is why I am comfortable reinstating him to our football team," Coach Brian Kelly said. Floyd will look to prove this progress on the football field as he has already been named to the Biletnikoff and Walter Camp Award watch lists.

Notre Dame has suspended receiver Michael Floyd after his recent arrest on a driving under the influence charge.  Coach Brian Kelly said that Floyd would not be reinstated until he "has successfully modified his behavior" and that the legal process and university discipline procedures have run their course.

Sounds like Floyd will be watching in street clothes during spring practice. We'll have to see if this translates to any missed games this fall.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 4am Sunday morning. This is Floyd's second alcohol-related offense in the last 14 months.

The Irish kick off spring practice on Wednesday. I'm sure we'll hear from coach Brian Kelly between now and then.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd was the star of the Sun Bowl as Notre Dame beat Miami.  Floyd had six grabs for 109 yards and two scores.

Floyd is a superstar receiver no matter who is throwing to him and Irish Nation can only hope he comes back for his senior year.

Notre Dame tight end Kyle Rudolph and wide receiver Michael Floyd have asked to be evaluated by the Draft Advisory Board but head coach Brian Kelly says "We are heavily recruiting them. We are recruiting them for Notre Dame."

Losing Rudolph would hurt for next year but with Tyler Eifert, the Irish are set.  However, losing Floyd would be a huge hit as he is the team's top playmaker.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd performs no matter who throws him the ball as he caught 11 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns in a close loss to Tulsa.

Even with Tommy Rees at the helm a healthy Floyd remains a solid start.

"(Tuesday) was my first practice since I messed up my hamstring, and the only thing that kind of held me back was stamina," Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd said. "I was fully padded, did everything with the team. I think I contributed more than what doctors wanted me to, so my body felt good."

Barring a setback in practice, we fully expect Floyd to play this week against Tulsa.

Signs are pointing to Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd (hamstring) returning to the lineup this week against Tulsa. "We are obviously going to move (Floyd) around," coach Brian Kelly said. "And again he's feeling better. And we want to make sure that he's able to play at full speed when we get him back. So, again, I think we'll manage that during the week and see how he feels."

Kelly probably let the cat out of the bag with his talk of moving Floyd around. It's hard to image Kelly game-planning for a player that is questionable to play.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd participated in practice on Thursday in a limited capacity. "Michael moved around today -- looked pretty good," coach Brian Kelly said after practice. "He said he felt pretty good. We didn't ask him to do too much."

I suspect Floyd will play this week, but he still remains a risk. Whether or not to start the playmaker depends on your other options.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd is nursing a hamstring injury and according to head coach Brian Kelly, is a game-time decision as to whether or not he will play against Navy.

If the Irish take the field without their top receiver, it would drastically effect the offense and will require players like T.J. Jones and Tyler Eifert to step up.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd had a field day against Western Michigan with nine catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns.

Without Kyle Rudolph, Floyd's stock has gone up even more.

Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd had eight catches for 110 yards in the loss to Stanford.

The talented playmaker has 24 catches for 339 yards and two touchdowns through four games, but owners were probably hoping for more after using a high selection on him.  He is still a WR1 in all leagues as the passing game in South Bend isn't the problem.
