Chris Polk, who last week went over 1,000 yards for the third time in his career, gets this nod for best Washington RB of all-time.

You can access the Seattle Times link and vote for yourself between Polk, Corey Dillon, Napoleon Kaufman and Hugh Mcelhenny. Polk has 18 100-yard games in his career with seven this season in eight games. He went over 1,000 yards last week giving him three straight 1,000-yard campaigns. With five games remaining, including a bowl, the senior has 3,577 career rushing yards and is on pace to break Kaufman’s school mark. Polk also has nearly 4,200 yards from scrimmage.

Washington running back Chris Polk had 144 yards rushing and 100 receiving in a 42-31 win over Arizona.

Polk, who had a season-high 34 carries against Arizona, has reached the century mark seven times in eight games this year and 18 times in his career. He was 4-100 receiving, marking the first time in his career he had 100 yards through the air.

Washington running back Chris Polk and the rest of the backfield have been drawing rave reviews all spring.  Recently Polk drew the praise of middle linebacker Cort Dennison when he said "He was already hard enough to bring down in the fall last year. I think with more lower body strength he’s just going to be a nightmare for defenses."  Deontae Cooper is finally healthy and coach Steve Sarkisian says "We need to continue to develop big-play guys and I definitely think (Cooper) can be one of them."

With the Huskies breaking in a new quarterback, there should be a heavily reliance on the ground game which means a big season is in store for Polk and Co.

With what is a big boost for a program that says goodbye to Jake Locker, Washington running back Chris Polk has decided to forgo the NFL Draft and return for his redshirt junior season.

Having a talented back like Polk to hand off to will greatly help along whoever wins the quarterback battle between Keith Price and Nick Montana.

You are raised to always listen to your mother, but it has yet to be determined if Washington running back Chris Polk will heed her advice.  Polk's mother has commented on his leaving for the NFL by saying "Right now, our focus is on school. I think he needs to stay in school for one more year."

If Polk does return for next season, he could register a third straight 1,000 yard season.

Washington looked more like Nebraska than the Cornhuskers did as they rolled up 268 rushing yards in the Holiday Bowl.  The Huskies' ground attack was led by Chris Polk who ran the ball 34 times for 177 yards and a touchdown.

Polk has had two straight 1,000 yard seasons and is a redshirt sophomore so all eyes are on whether or not he decides to jump to the next level.

Washington running back Chris Polk set career-highs with 29 carries, 284 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns in the win at Washington State.  It was his fifth 100 yard game of the season.

Polk finished the season 17th in the country in rushing with 1,238 yards thanks to his monster finale.  He was very consistent this year as he only had one really bad fantasy game, but I wouldn't recommend him in the bowl season as a RB1 or RB2. His prospects could be bright for 2011 without Jake Locker stealing goalline looks.

Washington running back Chris Polk set career-highs with 26 carries and 138 rushing yards in the win over UCLA.  He scored his fifth touchdown of the season on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Polk consistently racks up the rushing yards but it was nice to see him get in the end zone.  His owners had to watch Jake Locker steal another short touchdown from him in the second quarter.  Once Polk got it rolling in the second half, the Huskies just rode him to the finish line.  He has a tough matchup next weekend at Cal.

Washington running back Chris Polk sat out Wednesday's practice in order to get some rest and give some younger backs some reps.

It doesn't appear that Polk is dealing with any injuries that would keep him out of the Nov. 18 game against UCLA. Washington is on a bye this week.

Washington running back Chris Polk had 17 carries for 76 yards in the loss at Oregon.

Polk ran hard but there weren't many holes in the Ducks defense to exploit.  The good news is that the schedule lets up a little down the stretch with games against UCLA, Cal, and Washington State.  He has 729 rushing yards and looks like he will get to his second straight 1,000 yard season.

Washington running back Chris Polk had 13 carries for a season-low 17 yards in the loss to Stanford.

Polk has been pretty good this season as his previous season-low was 55 yards.  This performance can't be blamed on him, though, as the entire offense was brutal.  The Huskies only managed 107 yards for the game, so he never really had a chance to get going.  He has 653 rushing yards and four touchdowns through eight games.

Washington running back Chris Polk had 14 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown in the loss at Arizona.  He added two catches for 18 yards.

This was the lowest rushing total of the season for Polk, but owners have to be pleased with his touchdown.  He now has 623 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the season.  He could see his red zone carries increased if Jake Locker continues to be hampered by injuries.

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian told The Seattle Times that running back Chris Polk gained 74 of his 105 yards against Oregon State after he had been hit, a sure sign that the junior is running with a purpose.

Polk has 571 yards on the season, however he's only scored three times. He's due for a breakout performance, and fantasy owners think this week against Arizona is as good a time as any.

Washington running back Chris Polk had a season-high 25 carries for 105 yards in the double overtime win over Oregon State.  He added two catches for 29 yards.  It was his third 100 yard game of the season.

Polk, as par for the course, was held out of the end zone despite all of his rushing yards.  He is averaging 95.2 rushing yards per game but has only found the end zone three times.  The schedule is about to turn nasty with Arizona, Stanford, and Oregon up next.  Sell high if you can.
