Temple senior RB Montel Harris rushed for 106 yards on 21 carries Friday against Syracuse.

Harris has put together a string of two solid performances. After last weekend's 351 yard game against Army, Harris showed more straight-line determination. Along with some off field questions, teams will have to put Harris through an extensive medical check, but he is a between the tackles runner with limited moves.

Harris was a very productive player at Boston College, but multiple injuries and disagreements with the coaching staff led him to Temple this season. The transfer senior may not pass his medicals during the pre-draft process, but he offers some consistent straight forward ability.

Harris has had an injury riddled career, but has put forth a fairly solid final season, averaging 4.6 yards per carry on 597 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The senior is dealing with a knee injury.

Temple senior RB Montel Harris is day-to-day with a hamstring injury and his status is known for Saturday's game against Maryland.

Harris only rushed for 12 yards on five carries in his opener against Villanova. Before Temple, Harris played at Boston College and would have been the conference's all-time leading rusher with one more average season, but a recurring knee injury and a dismissal from the program changed his plans. Despite his numbers, Harris is not a viable prospect.

Boston College RB transfer Montel Harris only mustered 15 yards on six carries in his debut with the Owls.

Harris was kicked off the Boston College team for violating team rules multiple times. He only played two games last season due to a recurring knee injury. Harris is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 3,735 yards, including a career-high 1,457 in 2009 and would have broken the all time ACC record with one more solid season.

After being dismissed from Boston College for multiple violations of team rules, senior RB Montel Harris will transfer to Temple and play for the Owls in 2012.

Harris is Boston College's career rushing leader despite playing in only two games last year due to a recurring knee injury. He applied for and received a medical redshirt, which he will use after enrolling at Temple on Sunday. Harris certainly has a large sample size, but his pro prospects look bleak since his body is already showing signs of wearing down after accumulating 786 college carries.

The most unfortunate part of this development is that Harris has battled through multiple knee injuries the past couple of years. Although he was shut down for the spring after re-injuring his left knee, he was hopeful of returning in the fall for his final season. Harris is the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 3,735 yards, including a career-high 1,457 in 2009.

One week after being cleared to participate in spring drills, Montel Harris re-injured his left knee and the running back is being shut down.

Harris originally injured his left knee late in the 2010 season. He returned for the fourth week of 2011, but Harris re-injured the knee in his second game back and was through for the year. The Eagles’ all-time leading rusher (3,735 yards) was cleared to participate in spring drills, which began Feb. 18. During the first day of drills, however, Harris aggravated the knee and coach Frank Spaziani declared his RB is through for the spring.

At least one outlet has reported that running back Montrel Harris will participate in spring drills.

BC ranked 82nd in rushing yards last season (131 per game) with a lowly 3.6 yards per attempt. Harris, the Eagles' all-time leading rusher with 3,735 yards, missed all but two early-season games with a knee injury. He was granted a fifth-year of eligibility and will be welcomed back with open arms when spring practice starts Saturday.

Boston College running back Montel Harris is confident he'll be ready for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl against Nevada. “It really didn’t matter what bowl game (BC was picked for) because I thought I’d be able to get back for any of the bowl games,” Harris said Wednesday, “but Jan. 9 just gives me enough time for me to be 100 percent before I come all the way back, and it just gives us time to prepare for the next team we’re going to play.”

Harris had arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Owners will want to watch this one closely to make sure Harris will play and be healthy enough to play at a high level.

Boston College running back Montel Harris had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee on Monday.

Harris will miss this week's game against Virginia on Saturday. Harris accounts for nearly 70 percent of the Eagles carries this season, leaving a big hole to fill. Andre Williams will likely get the start.

Boston College running back  Montel Harris left Saturday's game against Virginia in the third quarter after sustaining an injury to his left knee.

Harris had an MRI on Saturday, but the results have not been released.  Boston College has one regular season game remaining against Syracuse.

Boston College running back Montel Harris did his thing Saturday against Virginia, finishing with 114 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

That's six straight 100 yard games, and it seems safe to mark him down for at least that again next week at Syracuse.  Harris is a stud.

Boston College running back Montel Harris ran 23 times for 109 yards and a touchdown at Duke Saturday.

Sadly, owners probably expected more, but it's not as if this was a bad showing.  He's now topped 100 yards in five straight, and shouldn't be slowed down much next week by UVA.
