After academics forced him to the sideline in 2011, former quarterback Jerome Tiller is back with ISU as a receiver.
Tiller has been finding his way at a new position and doing pretty well. That’s a good thing because there is not much in the way of healthy receivers this spring. With his athleticism and versatility, Tiller may play a significant role at receiver when everything shakes out in fall drills. Quarterback Jerome Tiller led the way in Iowa State's spring game with 202 yards total passing but the job  still remains a "four-horse race" according to coach Paul Rhodes.

Six quarterbacks saw action on the day, but Tiller still seems to be the odds on favorite to win the job.  But don't count out Steele Jantz just yet.

Iowa State backup quarterback Jerome Tiller will miss three weeks of spring ball while he rests a tweaked knee.

Tiller is expected to again back up Austen Arnaud.

Jerome Tiller - QB - Cyclones

Iowa State quarterback Jerome Tiller, playing in place of Austen Arnaud, (hand) threw for 155 yards on 18-of-27 passing and ran for 43 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's loss to Texas A&M. Tiller also threw two interceptions in the game.

This is the second week that Tiller has played in place of the injured Arnaud, who is recovering from a bruised throwing hand. Up next for the Cyclones is a home game against Oklahoma State.
