Michigan state walk-on wide receiver Mitchell White was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 80 hours of community service, $1,315 in fines and court costs, and was put on two-year probation on Monday. White pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from a fight last October. White is no longer believed to be on the football team.
Why is the sentencing of a walk-on receiver news worthy? Because running back Glenn Winston's sentencing from the same fight is scheduled for April 29. Michigan State wide receiver Mitchell White pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on Wednesday. White's sentencing is scheduled for March 16, and he could face up to 93 days in jail.

White, a walk-on, was not a contributor on the field in 2008. Speculation is that he is no longer on the team.
