Buccaneers selected North Carolina State QB Mike Glennon with the No. 73 overall pick.
Glennon (6-7, 225) took over NC State's offense following Russell Wilson's transfer and started two seasons, completing 60.3 percent of his throws with a 62:29 TD-to-INT ratio. Glennon is Rotoworld draft analyst Josh Norris' No. 4 QB in this class. Built like a young Joe Flacco with a powerful downfield arm, Glennon is an accurate deep passer. "Built like an oak tree," ESPN's Ron Jaworski has described. Glennon isn't a quality athlete, tends to hold onto the ball too long, and too often retreats rather than stepping up amid collapsing pockets. Sheer arm talent still makes him a quality developmental project -- and a great fit for Bucs OC Mike Sullivan's vertical scheme. Josh Freeman should consider himself on notice. The Chicago Bears are working out NC State QB Mike Glennon on Tuesday.

These last minute workouts are always intriguing. Jay Cutler is entering the final portions of his contract, and with no extension on the horizon the team could look to at least bring in competition. Glennon has a great arm and can make solid throws when in rhythm, but struggles in the face of interior pressure.

SI's Peter King writes a few teams love NC State QB Mike Glennon.

King could see Glennon has a late second-round pick and calls him "an acquired taste." The Wolfpack quarterback could do well in a team that runs an offense featuring three and five step drops, quick reads, with a faster tempo, since the longer Glennon holds the ball the more fans will get worried.

ESPN's Rich Cimini believes the Jets could select a QB in the second-round.

Cimini suggested Mike Glennon as a possibility since former Jets quarterback Ken O'Brien has tutored the NC State product. The beat writer also threw out the name Jordan Rodgers, little brother of Aaron, since he worked with O'Brien as well.

Local Buffalo media member Sal Capaccio tweeted that he has been told the Bills remain "fairly high" on NC State QB Mike Glennon.

Capaccio went on to note that this "doesn't mean they are 'in love' or will target him... but they have liked him for a while and still have him higher than most would tend to think." The Bills have been linked to almost every single quarterback prospect, and the only obvious move seems to be that they will select at least one.

Buffalo Bills reporter John Murphy writes the team will host N.C. State QB Mike Glennon, Southern Miss LB Jamie Collins, LSU WR Russell Shepard and Clemson S Jonathan Meeks.

The Bills have been very busy during the draft process, visiting and working out seemingly every quarterback in the class. Glennon would be an interesting fit for the team because he can push the ball downfield. As for Collins, he's a raw pass-rusher but has a lot of upside and would be a good fit in defensive coordinator Mike Pettine's scheme. LSU's Shepard is a wide receiver but teams have wondered about him playing defensive back, according to reports. Clemson's Meeks is viewed as a strong safety in the NFL.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah tweeted that teams keep telling him they won't reach for a QB during April's draft.

Jeremiah notes that the same teams believe the second-round is where the value is for quarterbacks, so all the veteran passer additions make sense. Teams can say this all they want, but there is no certainty those same decision makers will wait once they find "their guy."

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah believes the Arizona Cardinals will target a QB in the second-round, specifically NC State's Mike Glennon.

"I keep hearing Glennon is their guy... Who knows," Jeremiah tweeted. If the Cardinals focus on their offensive line, specifically in the first-round, the fit does make some sense. Glennon can test the field vertically, but he struggles to buy time, something previous quarterbacks under Bruce Arians have done very well.

Cardinals GM Steve Keim and assistant coach Tom Moore will workout QB Mike Glennon on NC State's campus on Tuesday.

We have previously mocked Glennon to the Cardinals at No. 7, but we expect the team to pass on the position in the early parts of the first-round. Glennon, however, could be a target on the second day due to his downfield ability, a trait that Bruce Arians has valued in previous coaching spots.

NFL.com's Bucky Brooks writes NC State QB Mike Glennon has "glimpses" of Joe Flacco in his game.

"Even quiet leaders like Eli Manning and Joe Flacco have to step up and hold their teammates accountable by challenging them in one-on-one or small-group confrontations," Brooks writes. "Evaluators still have concerns about whether Glennon possesses that take-charge personality. When I asked Glennon about this following the workout, he pointed to the leadership styles of Manning and Flacco as examples of how he envisions his personality evolving at the next level. Furthermore, he told me to ask his teammates if they believed he had the moxie to be a leader at the highest level."

NC State QB Mike Glennon looked good during his "high risk pro day" workout, according to NFL Network's Bucky Brooks.

"I think he is a second-round quarterback, all day every day, when you look at this talent," Brooks said. "He has a big arm. He has an ability to play in the pocket. He can make all the throws that you want to see. The thing that is keeping him out of the conversation as a first-round player is that he is not a great athlete, because he can't move around in the pocket and because he doesn't have the escapability you look for in elite quarterbacks."

ESPN's Chris Mortensen believes the Cardinals are targeting NC State QB Mike Glennon, but not necessarily at pick No. 7.

"I really believe the guy they're hoping to get somewhere, whether it's in the second round ... is Mike Glennon," said Mortensen. "Their new head coach, Bruce Arians, likes big guys with big arms who can get the ball downfield." Our own Josh Norris previously mocked Glennon to the Cardinals at No. 7, but we think Arians is happy to stick with Stanton as the starter this year. Glennon could be a target at No. 38.

ESPN's Todd McShay is still waiting to hear from any league sources that have a true first-round grade on a QB from this class.

"I don't know of anyone in the league that I've talked to that has a true first-round grade on any of these quarterbacks," McShay noted on a conference call Friday. He then added that not a single one of these quarterbacks would have been ranked higher than fourth compared to last year's class.

NC State QB Mike Glennon will reportedly throw at the Combine.

He joins the rest of the quarterback party, and this is shaping to be one of the few occasions in recent memory where the potential top quarterbacks all throw at the event. Glennon has nothing to hide after displaying the same skills he showed during his time at NC State.

Pro Football Talk cites a league source who expects NC State QB Mike Glennon and USC QB Matt Barkley to have strong performances at the Combine.

The same source said that level of performance "could vault them much higher in the draft than most expect them to go." It will be the first offseason exposure for Barkley while Glennon showed off similar skills during the Senior Bowl that he displayed in college.
