UConn has found a replacement for the departed Randy Edsall and it is Paul Pasqualoni.  Pasqualoni was most recently an assistant in the NFL since being the head coach at Syracuse until 2004.  Pasqualoni was chosen over Miami offensive coordinator Mark Whipple.
Pasqualoni is not a homerun hire but is a good one for the Huskies.  He had success while the head coach for Syracuse which bodes well for his chances at UConn...and it will help if he can find another Donovan McNabb. Thu, Jan 13, 2011 09:00:00 PM

UConn running back Jordan Todman ran for 80 yards on 19 carries in Saturday's loss to Louisville.

Todman is officially the only bright spot remaining for UConn, which finds itself without a reliable quarterback for the remainder of the season. Todman is still a beast and should continue to get his yards even with other teams focusing more on stopping the Huskies' ground game.

We have not been able to confirm that Todman is fully healthy yet, but this is a good sign that he will play this week. It also shows that D.J. Shoemate, who started last week against Buffalo, has fallen behind Frey in the pecking order.

UConn running back Jordan Todman returned to practice on Saturday after academic issues forced him to miss two sessions earlier in the week.

Hopes are high that Todman can emerge as one of the Big East's top backs in 2010, and hopefully this practice timeout was just a little speed bump on the way to a big season this fall.
