Rutgers' Mohamed Sanu broke school and Big East single-season records for receptions against Army at Yankee Stadium.

Sanu finished the day with 13-129 giving him 94 receptions on the season breaking the Big East mark of 92 set by Pitt’s Larry Fitzgerald in 2003. In the process, Sanu blew past Kenny Britt’s school mark of 87 catches set in 2008. "It’s pretty awesome to have my name up there with those guys," said Sanu. "It means a lot to me because they were such great players."

Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu’s seventh reception against Army broke the school’s single-season mark for receptions.

The catch came early in the third quarter of the Scarlet Knights’ game at Yankee Stadium against Army. It was Sanu’s 88th of the season, breaking Kenny Britt’s record of 87 set in 2008. The junior had two more catches on the drive giving him nine for the game. Should he catch at least one more pass, it would give Sanu six games of at least 10 receptions this season.

Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu caught 7 passes during a fourth-quarter, game-tying drive against USF.

Sanu had only four catches going into that drive, which resulted in the Scarlet Knights equaling the score at 17-17. Rutgers won in overtime, 20-17. Sanu had 60 yards on those seven receptions and was 11-113-0 for the game. The junior has 81 catches on the season.

Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu caught 10 passes in Friday night's loss at Louisville, the fourth time he has caught at least 10 passes this season.

Sanu, who set Big East and school records with 16 receptions against Ohio on Sept. 24, has 65 catches in seven games this season. With a bowl, Sanu would have six games to achieve a milestone he has talked about: 100 receptions.

Sources tell SI.com's Tony Pauline that Rutgers WR Mohamed Sanu already plans to enter the 2012 NFL draft.

A lot can change between now and next April (i.e. injury), but for now it sounds like Sanu's tentative expectation is to play out his third-year junior season and go pro as an underclassman. A physical possession wideout at 6-foot-2, 218, Sanu managed just 44 catches for 418 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore. Pauline rates Sanu as a second- to third-round prospect, though other projections have him going as soon as the latter portion of round one.
