Rob Henry was brought along more slowly than he had hoped this spring.

Henry missed the 2011 season after tearing his right ACL a week prior to the opener. Henry was mostly limited this spring to working out on the sidelines, though he eventually took some snaps. Henry will continue to rehab through the summer and he should be able to compete with Caleb TerBush and Robert Marve come fall practice. Henry threw for 996 yards and 8 touchdowns (7 INTs) as a freshman in 2010. He also ran for 547 yards and 4 TDs and had a 132-yard rushing effort at Northwestern.

With Purdue sophomore quarterback Rob Henry out with a torn right ACL, there are many questions regarding the Boilermakers offense.

The timing of Henry’s injury could not be worse. Not only because the opener is a week away, but transfer Robert Marve is coming off a torn ACL last year and is not yet ready to assume the helm. That leaves sophomore Sean Robinson (301 passing yards last season) and junior Caleb TerBush (10 career attempts) to likely share duties in the Sept. 3 opener against Middle Tennessee.
