Utah senior RB John White broke his arm on the way to rushing for 168 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries Friday against Colorado.
The Utes are not bowl eligible, so this effectively ends White's senior season. Broken arms can heal faster than most other significant injuries, so we may see White at one of the postseason all star games. Utah senior RB John White is expected to play against Arizona State despite being limited all week with an ankle injury.

White did not play last week against BYU and has had a slow start to the season, rushing for 4.3 yards per carry after averaging 5.1 last season. The senior looks more tentative this season, which is a change from 2011, but perhaps the extra week of recovery will bring out the healthy runner.

An 8-yard TD run by John White IV gave Utah a 30-27 overtime victory against Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl.

The touchdown run was White's 15th of the season. The junior ran for 115 yards giving him eight 100-yard games on the year. He finished the season with 1,519 yards.

Running back John White IV rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-27 win Saturday.

The junior back pounded the ball a season-high 42 times for an average of 4.4 yards per carry. White IV was good in the clutch for the Utes, who had both of his scores in the fourth quarter. It is the sixth time out of 11 games that he has gone over 150+ yards on the ground this season. He has 16 total touchdowns for the team this season, 14 on the ground and two through the air.

Running back John White IV rushed for 167 yards on 33 carries with two touchdowns for the Utes in a 31-6 win over UCLA.

White had a hand in every score for the team Saturday, adding a receiving touchdown in the third quarter. He has rushed for over 100 yards in four out of his last five games. The junior has had an excellent year for the 6-4 Utes, racking up 119 yards and 14 total touchdowns.

Running back John White IV ran for 205 yards and added a touchdown during Utah's win over Oregon State.

The junior transfer had his best game for the Utes, pounding the ball 35 times for 5.9 yards per carry. It was the backs' fourth 100-yard game of the year, and White now has 915 yards and 8 TDs on the year for Utah.

Junior college transfer John White nailed down Utah's starting RB role during impressive fall camp.

Utah’s leading returning rusher isn’t even a running back. In fact, he is now playing defense. In other words, jobs in the backfield were available in fall camp. Former JC star John White emerged as the No. 1 running back and will start against Montana State on Thursday night. Coach Kyle Whittingham indicated there were be a cap – a sort a carry count, if you will – on White’s number of rushing attempts, though he will get the bulk of the work. Harry Langi and Tauni Vakapuna are among those that could spell White.
