Kansas senior RB Darrian Miller and senior WR Andrew Turzilli have both left the program.
Miller bolted campus for what head coach Charlie Weis described as "personal reasons." The top high school recruit, brought in by former coach Turner Gill, had a turbulent history with Weis, who dismissed him after the 2011 season only to welcome him back prior to the 2013 campaign. Turzilli, who graduated in May, would be eligible to play immediately elsewhere. He collected 27 catches for 491 yards and two touchdowns over the past three seasons for the Jayhawks. "I am extremely proud to have earned my degree," Turzilli said. "I am thankful for all of the relationships I have made during my time at Kansas and I wish the entire program nothing but the best in the future." Jun 14 - 9:27 PM

Kansas sophomore RB Darrian Miller has rejoined the football team after being dismissed following the 2011 season.

Miller was the Jayhawks' second leading rusher in 2011. There was no specific reason for his dismissal, but Miller's name was mentioned in a group of 10 players who left the program following Charlie Weis' hiring. James Sims produced last season as the lead back, but has his own issues off the field.

Jayhawks coach Turner Gill indicated that highly-rated freshman running back Darrian Miller will debut Saturday against McNeese State

Playing at a high classification for three years, Miller became the all-time leading rusher in the state of Missouri with more than 6,500 yards. An early enrollee in Lawrence, Miller was impressive from the get-go during spring drills and kept the momentum rolling through fall camp. Starting running back, James Sims, impressed (742 yds, 9 TDs) as a freshman a year ago.
